They found our daughters kidney problems while I was still pregnant with her, and we were sent to see Dr. Hittelman right away. He is AMAZING - so easy to talk to, spends as much time with you as needed, and always willing to go above and beyond to make his patients and their families feel confident in the care they receive!

Our Daughter has been with Dr. Hittelman since birth, he’s preformed both of her successful surgeries, at 1 months old and 2 years old. We have been under his care for 6 years now with continued follow up. He’s the 1 in a million Dr. the Surgeon who will personally return my frantic midnight call to the on call service. No matter how big or small it may be or seem he always is kind, caring and compassionate. He has walked my husband and I through every single step of every test, diagnosis, medication, surgery you name it. He treats us like like the rightfully concerned parents we are, and takes all the time to explain everything and anything.

Dr. Hittleman was the surgeon for our 15 yr old's recent surgery. He did a solid job communicating from the office visit and throughout the surgery with his team. Wonderful experience at Yale pediatric surgery as well. Would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Hittleman was all one could hope for in a physician. He was considerate, caring, thorough and helpful in every way. His team at Yale New Haven Hospital were terrific. They made my stay there as best it could be. Thank you.
