Extremely knowledgeable and conscientious. I have been seeing him for 20 years.

Dr. Freedman is the best physician I have ever encountered. I have been with him for over 15 years. I have an extreme case of BHP prostate and he has operated on me and I have had the best outcome ever. I highly recommend this talented and gifted surgeon. I wish I could give him 10+ stars.

"I have been a patient of Dr. Freedman for 10 years. He is a professional and knowledgeable Urologist not prone to over react or make recommends prematurely. His personal manner is open, thoughtful and serious. As his patient I trust his diagnosis and course of treatment and can highly recommend him to others. "

Dr. Freedom is an excellent Dr. May seem a little cool in personality, but gets to the issues & treats it in a professional & competent manner. He has preform surgery on me twice & treated me for other issues. Results are excellent. Staff is excellent especially receptionist Shannon.

Yes, I too didnt like the lack of bedside manner and the short answers to my questions. Although, I am alive today and still have my bladder because of Dr. Freedman. I had a cancerous tumor the size of a softball in my bladder that Dr.Freedman had removed - after 3 recurrences/surgeries and treatments completed, I have one year now of no recurrences. At Hoag Hosp. the nurses didnt like his unfriendly demands but one of the nurses told me if she were to have any procedures like this, she would chose Freedman. He wrote medical books on urology and he was (or is) head of the urology dept. at Hoag. Freedman is unfriendly and short but his skills is what you want in the end.

Doctor told me I would have leakage for a couple of weeks after prostate surgery. Said to buy a package of diapers and donate the extra ones to an old folks home. Ten years later, still have the same small leakage problems!!

I visited for a vasectomy consult and the actual procedure. First, his support staff was outstanding. As little concern as Freedman seemed to have for me, his staff (almost) makes up for it. Freedman himself is another matter. He did not look me in the eye once, busy with my chart. I got the impression I was a meal ticket, nothing more. He rattled off his standard CYA questions about my discussions with my wife about the procedure, the risks, the chance of spontaneous reversion, etc. Saying he was in a rush would be an understatement. I am in the service industry myself, and understand the press of business, but this bordered on the ridiculous. Regardless, considering his experience and education, I decided to schedule the procedure with him anyway. I should have read his reviews first. I elected not to have the super dope narcotic painkiller, choosing the local anesthesia only. During the second half of the procedure, I began experiencing significant pain. Freedman cranked me with numerous shots of the local, stating with obvious disdain --see, this is why we recommend the strong stuff.-- As though it was my fault that I was in pain. Nice.

Told to buy a package of adult diapers after my surgery. Would most likely not use the entire package before the incontinence stopped. Twelve years later still using a pad. Enough said.

Dr. Freedman was abrupt, rude, disrespectful and impatient. One of the coldest, most disinterested bedside manners Ive ever encountered. If he was the last urologist in OC, Id drive to LA.

This Doctor is very rude, no bedside manners at all. If he was the last Dr. available in O.C. I would travel far and wide before seeing him. I felt uncomfortable the minute he arrived in the room. How one can substain a patient list with this arrogance is beyond me. I cancelled my surgery immediately with him.

I have never been yelled at by a doctor especially while laying in ccu just 3 days out of major surgery for something I had nothing to do with. There is huge dislike toward him by the hoag nursing staff which clearly supports the previous comments resulting in a huge problem in my recovery and health and major errors were made in my care as a result. Im not sure if its still fixed yet. I need to see another urologist. He did apologize next day and said he was just mad at the situation and not me and didnt mean to take it out on me. I believe he was sorry and didnt intend harm. Its a bad situation all around. I think his skills are effective however. But theres a lot of baggage that comes with it. ouch!

I selected Dr. Freedman from his website with --impressive-- educational background. During my visit I could hear him in the rooms either side of me, suggesting a biopsy. Sure enough, he suggested the same to me without asking me much about my problem. I had completed forms online indicating my medication and dosage. He kept reading it wrong and ultimately became angry with me and blamed me for --giving him the wrong information.-- Patients are usually to blame here. I left feeling frightened about submitting myself to his care.

This Dr should not be in practice! When going through ay illness, does one need a Dr that does not even listen? This Dr should really be in research!!!I do understand that when one is ill, needing a dr in his practice, one wants the best. But when you have to walk away in tears.........My comment is only this,,Dr Freedman needs evaluation from the his peers!!!

This man should not be in the service industry since he obviously does not like people. He is arrogant, rude, rushed, impatient, condescending and intimidating. He was told by the orth surgeon that my husband had to be on antibiotics after bladder surgery and he gave him a RX for 3 pills. He ended up with a horrific UTI which took over 6 weeks to resolve and the loss of 8 pounds. Surgery was repeated yesterday with a different urologist who spent time with both of us before and after the surgery. I am a registered nurse and deal with docs all the time - this one takes the cake. Shame on you Dr. Freedman! I am so glad we dont have to deal with you anymore. I wouldnt even give you one star but it was required in order to submit the review.

Horrible bedside manner. Didnt acknowledge me or greet my family member. Very condescending and I was under the impression we were wasting his time. Left my family member on the table uncovered and exposed several times and left the door open with other patients walking by. I had keep covering my father throughout the visit. Unbelievable!!

patient beware, he is urologist and surgeon Doctor, and his recommendation is always toward unnecessary surgery that may cost you life living with pain the rest of your life, do not accept surgery unless you get a second opinion or even better find another surgeon to do it, I had 2 operation with him and I regret every minute of it, I had prostate cancer which was local to prostate and I believe 2 operations released cancer cell in blood stream and now it is in my bone! the pain and burning is always there!!

Dr. Freedman is one of the rudest people (let alone physicians) I have ever met. Accompanied my parent to his office and would NEVER allow him to treat anyone in my family. Sadly, he was able to bill medicare for the visit...must be how he makes his living, with ONE visit patient appointments, because clearly- nobody will come back to this guy after meeting him once. No bedside manner, and somewhat mean. Was talking to multiple people while we sat in his office (at his desk) then told *US* we were taking up his time!
