Dr. Horchak has been a wonderful physician for me. I had some getting older-- issues that he was empathetic about, and helpful with suggestions and treatment options, and I had a high PSA scare that indicated a biopsy was needed to be sure. He was thorough and efficient, and was open in his communications and follow up. He really is a great listener and cares.

Dr. Horcehk is a great physician! He makes you feel very comfortable, diagnoses illness quickly without numerous expensive tests, very friendly and goes above and beyond the call of duty. I had been seen in his office one Friday, had kidney stones, he gave me his personal cell phone number in case I needed him. Later that night I called in while in terrible pain, he answered the phone the first call and had a room waiting for me at the hospital with all the orders written so that I did not have to wait or check into the ER and be seen there first. He is amazing and I would recommend him to anyone seeking a urologist. His staff is amazing as well! Very friendly and on top of their game.

Dr. Horchak is an excellent doctor. I suffered with bladder problems for years. I was misdignosed and had no relief until I found this doctor. My bladder surgery was a success and I am so thankful to him. His staff was great and he took the time to listen.

One of the kindest doctors I have ever met. He makes sure all of his patients are well taken care of. He took the time to go over information and answer any questions I might have.

I was referred to Horchak for what I was told was a mass on my kidney. First, I had to see the PA. I was told I needed surgery to see what it was and biopsy if needed. I should have listened to my gut when I asked for an appt with him if he was doing surgery and was told I didnt need to see him. I called them wks ahead to say I had a trach and asked them to inform anesthesia. So the nurse anesthetist came in after just prior to surgery finding out I had a trach. He was VERY obviously ruffled by it and said he was doing a spinal. After sticking the needle in my back numerous time he was angry and I was given iv meds to put me out while sitting on the edge of the bed. I woke up with pain all over. I was released and went home an hr away. The pain continued to get worse. Not just in my kidney area but, esp ribs and hip and shoulder. When I started to vomit I called him. I told him I was having pain and tried to tell him what I had taken and where the pain was. He didnt have time to listen to what I was saying and told me to take the tylenol and call in 2 hrs. I tried to tell him I HAD ALREADY taken pain meds but, the pain was making me vomit and he didnt hear that so I called back in a half hr. I didnt get the chance to tell him anything before he started yelling at me. He said hed call something in. I drove an hr back late at night to find that he called in nausea meds. I was not about to call him so I had to pay for an ER visit. I wrote him personally but, as I expected he was done with me. My pain in my whole right side persisted so I went to my Dr to find out I had multiple broken ribs, a tear in my hip, and a great deal of pain in my r shoulder and my r knee. The arrogance and rude attitude he treated me with was inexcusable. Im not convinced that he even did anything he says he did. I would not recommend him to treat anyone. I would sure like to know what happened in there.

Im not one to write public reviews but if this saves another family from going through what my family experienced its all worth it. Dr Horchak was a friendly enough guy when he wasnt being arrogant, inappropriate or rude. He didnt accurately document after his initial appointment and was unsure of the exact location of lesion therefore he reported different information after surgery. He downplayed any of our questions or concerns saying --people live for a long time with this diagnosis. He should worry more about the other family member who has cancer--. It turns out we got a second opinion from a world renown bladder surgeon and we were shocked at the amount of cancer that remained in his bladder after the initial surgery which was one month prior. He later had multiple medical complications requiring surgery and hospitalization because of the location of the tumor. Turns out it was much more than --a simple surgery--. Thankfully, the second opinion prevented my family member from having a lifetime of complications. We are happy to report hes been cancer free for over 1 year!! My recommendation: ask the right questions and if you feel uneasy please seek out a second opinion...it could save your loved ones life!

This doctor was hired to repair a recuring hernia and a testicle pain. Not only he did not repair the hernia(open surgery without any mash reinforcement)He did cut the bloodflow to my testicle which within six months slowly died of starvation. He ignored my complaints for those six months and then he said:--Oh well, it is not a big deal, testicles are like a kidneys. You have another one--.The dead testicle has been removed last month I am facing a lifetime of expensive HRT and of course the damage done to me and my family life is obvious...and this man will keep doing this until who knows when.

This man said some things that you only here in bars and with your (male) friends,Im a woman and should not have been in that kind of conversation with a doctor that I just met.I will leave it like that. I would not ever tell anyone that is a female to go to that man.

I found this Dr. to be very carless, thoughtless, and had the professionalizm of Jack the Ripper. His minor prostate surgery left us with barely anything to work on. We ended going to a professional Urologist, to try to correct the damage done. My husband now has to have a bladder pacemaker.. invasive surgery. all because of the way he the did prostate surgery.. Must of been in a hurry to go to a ball game that day.

I am not one to review but I felt compelled to inform others about my experience. Dr. Horchak initially was a kind individual. He diagnosed my condition and prescribed medication. It was beginning to work, then I completed the regimen and the problems started again. I notified the office of the returning issues as I was informed to do upon the return of symptoms. Five days later I finally received a return call (Not by a Doctor) informing me that I wasn’t getting more medication and he didn’t want to see me! WOW! First I didn’t ask for medication and second I am having some really serious medical issues and just need to know what to do. That simple! If this site allowed photographs I would post so you all could see the problem.
