"Read the review re: "my mom" and just could not understand how this fellow was able to "call the hospital" and get confirmation that each test was positive for UTI. With proper ID and consent you can in some cases go in person to the hospital and request ( and obtain) medical records for another if you have a power of attorney or other documents. Due to HIPAA the medical record staff is however ..."

"My mom was a patient with Dr. Atef Yacoub. Due to bladder issues she wears a permanent catheter, and the catheter is replaced once a month. In the beginning of this year she was rushed to the ER, once a week for a month to have the catheter replaced due to UTI's. Catheter's are not meant to be exchanged that often and the ER doctor suggested she see her Urologist as soon as possible. The emergency ..."

My mom was a patient with Dr. Atef Yacoub. Due to bladder issues she wears a permanent catheter, and the catheter is replaced once a month. In the beginning of this year she suffered multiple UTI's and was rushed to the ER once a week for a month to have it replaced. Catheter's are not meant to be exchanged that often and the ER doctor suggested she see her Urologist as soon as possible. The ER always ran test on her and her result always came back positive for UTI's. The day we took her to see Dr. Yacoub, her primary doctor had faxed over all the hospital records. After Dr. Yacoub examine her he said to me that he didn't understand why she was there. That the hospital reports show "No Infection" that she is okay, and they he is going to suggest a psychological evaluation! As I stood there telling him how, I don't understand how that is possible, and how I've been in the ER when they have said to me she has a UTI. He said no, show me where it said on the report, and that its all in her head. The reports were loaded onto his computer and to be honest I didn't even know what they said. After leaving his office I called the hospital and they confirmed that each test that was faxed to his office showed she had a UTI.....each test! I also spoke to her primary doctor and she was also upset with his outcome. She reached out to him but never received a call back. My mom now has a new Urologist. Dr. Atef Yacoub you have lost your compassion to care for your patients, maybe not all of them, but you have. Maybe you were upset that we forced your office to see her or you really just don't care anymore. I don't recommend you.
