An Excellent Dr who added years to my life expectancy. Thank you!

When he heard my symptoms he gave me a quick professional examination and got me in for a sonogram biopsy (with anesthetic) right away. When all 12 cores came back positive for prostate cancer he scheduled me for surgery very quickly. The DaVinci surgery went well, he got me started on the chemo as soon as the catheter was removed and set me up with an affiliate radiation oncologist right away. As soon as I had recovered enough from the surgery I got radiation and am getting regular PSA/testosterone tests to make sure the chemo is working correctly. He is a surgeon first and foremost, saving lives is obviously top priority to him. Once he has you on track he depends on his office staff to carry you on your treatment program. Urgent & emergency cases arrive unexpectedly though and that delays appointments, as do unexpected delays due to surgical complications on days when he is in surgery. As with any other medical situation the patient must take on some responsibility for their own care. I educated myself about the potentially fatal illness I had acquired, asked the questions I needed answers to and took control of my own care in partnership with Dr Rashperkars guidance. This has worked out well for me thus far. My treatment is on schedule, my cancer is in remission and I am very satisfied with Dr Rashperkars performance.

For most of my life I’ve had a very weak bladder. Every commercial that relates itself to incontinence was my life. We tried everything to remedy this horrible situation. Medications, therapy, surgeries, even a pacemaker. Nothing fixed me. Then Botox came into view. Believe me when I say I had to jump through a few hoops to get approved for this in 2015. But finally the day came when Dr. Rajpurkar did the procedure and injected my bladder with a minimal amount of Botox. It was a life changer. I wasn’t going to need to wear adult diapers. I could once again take my dogs on long walks without wetting my pants by the time I got back home. The only drawback is it wears off between seven & nine months. So I just schedule another injection with Dr. Rajpurkar. This man really cares about his patients.

Doctor is nice and polite. However, if you have surgery from him, you have to go have other doctors write you pain prescriptions after his 7 day supply runs out, this is very annoying, especially when you are in pain. If you are lucky, he may possibly write another script for you, but it will be for something ridiculous like 10 tablets. Be wary of having stents placed and finally lithotripsy....he may just happen to place them inside you improperly and you may just come out with herniated discs like me where the pain never fully leaves your body. Also, if there is a problem after your surgery, go straight to ER.....dont try to call his office, you wont hear back from him for well over 24 hours. Be careful of office staff.....they will make appointments and then cancel them on you and make you wait absurd lengths of time before you finally have another one....they will then pad your medical records with lies saying that you the patient are non-complient and refuse to follow protocal

Because of the number of patients scheduled in one day the amount of time spent with me was very short and seemed to hurried to answer questions that concerned me.

I was referred by my PCP for a vasectomy procedure. The initial consultation was cancelled and rescheduled for a later date. 30 + minutes waiting to see Dr. Rajpurkar. The total 4 minutes he spent left me with a bad feeling. However, my PCP is very good so I trusted her referral. The first procedure date was cancelled 2 days before due to: --Water would be shut off on that day due to construction in the area--. A second procedure date was set up for a month later. The week before the I received no confirmation call like most physicians do to as a reminder of the upcoming procedure. I called the day before to make sure I was still scheduled. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and started to get a bad feeling. Finally takes me off hold and says: --Were so glad you called because the doctor had something come up and he wont be available to do the procedure--. She then asks me if I would like to reschedule ? Are you kidding me.....Was charged $35 for the initial 4 minute consultation and two rescheduled procedures. I just laughed and hung up. I put a call into my PCP to let her know that she shouldnt be referring patients to such an unprofessional/unreliable doctor. If youre referred to Dr. Atul Rajpurkar, do yourself a favor and find a different Urologist because this guy should have his medical license revoked.
