Dr. Tripp is a brilliant, caring physician who I have been seening for over two years. He is honest and does his best to make you feel secure. Being diagnosed with advanced Prostate cancer in 2009, he has helped me emensly, always being there when needed. I cannot say enough good things about him.

Be prepared to wait for the best urologist in So FLA. Waiting room is frequently crowded and you likely will have a wait. Its worth it.

patient, non panicked calming manner. when my PSA indicate cancer of the prostate, no rush to surgery, sent me to 2 other doctors for advice before he and I made a decision on method of treatment-THE RIGHT METHOD-based on facts and not fear

He is a great diognostician who tests until he finds the problem. He is conservative regarding the application of medicine and surgery. He has a very busy practice.

Staff suck! Wait for over an hour worse than the staff! Sorry, good doctor or no, Ive left. Plenty of other doctors around with good reputations and far better staff to deal with.

"Arrived early for appointment, kept waiting for 45 minutes and still no doctor. Was told he's running behind, noone knew when I would be seen. Decided to leave and find another urologist which I did This is not the first time this has happened."

I waited a long time to see this doctor. Over an hr. He was thorough. He discussed matters in the hall way which everyone can hear. I had to fill out forms when I went to the room to wait for him. These could have been filled out while I was in the waiting room. At the end he didn’t really have an idea what was wrong.

Yes, he knows his stuff, but he is not a great listener and I felt he rushed me through his plans for future treatment. Didnt seem interested in my questions or in explaining the nuances of any treatment. I did, admittedly, become slightly inarticulate when I was describing current symptoms, but, frankly, some of that was my reaction to his seeming desire to generalize about my condition, using words and thoughts that I felt were not precise. He seemed frustrated and bothered. I think he like clear cut diagnoses and has little patience for listening to anything that he cant explain or may not even know what causes the symptom. He might make a good drill seargent, though.

Tripps office is the most unprofessional of any medical office Ive dealt with. Never, in going to this office for 3 years has he ever been on-time and the closest to being on time was about 45 minutes LATE. I believe he and his staff got their training with a US airline because he is very skilled in overbooking patients to make sure he maximizes his revenue. It is very clear to this patient that Dr Tripps 1st concern is with the money and not patient care. When this patient did not come to an appointment, he sent a certified RRR letter to tell me that it was important to come to the appointment and he would not be responsible for my medical condition if I did not show up - he wanted to cover his legal butt by sending such a letter when a simple phone call would have been sufficient to notify me. I will find another doctor.

Tripps office is the most unprofessional of any medical office Ive dealt with. Always late with appointments and some staff are very rude. It is very clear that Dr Tripp is a money hound and not patient care.

Idiot me made another appointment and the same thing happened for the second time. After a half hour of waiting I asked when I would be taken, I was told there were two patients in front of me, that would mean at least another 45 minutes which would mean I would be seen more than an hour late. I left the office and should have a tattoo on my arm telling me not to deal with this practice again. Don't bother making an appointment, it doesn't matter.

I made an appointment with Dr. Tripp's office about 10 days ago for yesterday afternoon. Someone from their office called me Friday afternoon to confirm my appointment. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment and signed in. After waiting 5 minutes I went to the desk and asked if there was any paperwork for me to fill out. The receptionist for the Dermatology side of the office pointed to the Urology front desk people and said that they will be with me shortly. 15 minutes later, 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I was called to the desk where I was asked for my ID and insurance information. I gave them my license and was about to produce photo copies from my computer when one of the woman said that she needs to see the card. I told her that I did not have the card, but that I have photos of my medicare cards. She said that she needs to have the actual card. Again I told her that I didn't have the actual card. At this point she gave me the option of going home to get it and coming back or calling another one of my Dr.'s offices to have them fax a copy of my insurance cards. This woman would have accepted a copy from another office but would not accept a photo copy from my computer. There was no logic involved with this relatively stupid woman. I am a recently retired Dr., and I know a fair amount regarding office protocol. Offices will take just the numbers from the medicare card. They can ask to see the card but all that is required is that one provides the numbers from the card. Going home to retrieve the card was an unacceptable alternative for me. I did not tell them that in neither of the two phone calls I had with their office did either of the women I spoke with tell me to bring my medicare card. I also did not tell them that I was a Dr. I elected to leave their office. This rating is only for the staff and is no way a rating for Dr. Tripp who was highly recommended by a Dr. friend of mine. Often times we Dr.'s only find out about how our patients are treated by our staff members by direct comments to us or by reviews such as this one. Dr. Michael Schuman
