Dr. Eisner operated on me for staghorn kidney stones in both kidneys. He showed me what they looked like, discussed the various options for treatment and together WE decided on teh proper course of action. His explanations were thorough and he took the time to make sure all of my questions were answered. He was very caring and was concerned that I was comfortable with everything we decided on. I woudl go back to him with out hesitation and I too did my homework regarding surgical urologists prior to selecting Dr. Eisner.

I found Dr. Eisner to be comprehensive, descriptive, and articulate. Dr. Eisner took time to explain my condition, as well as treatment. He uses no "big" fancy medical words. Dr. Eisner specifically showed me where my "kidney stone" was and what would be the "best" recommended procedure. HE always greeted me with a smile and was empathetic to my condition. Dr. Eisner was encouraging and he took my worries away. Dr. Eisner explained the risks, but he "out weighed" them with his confidence and what would cause the small percentage of risk. I would go back to Dr. Eisner with NO worries or reservations. With the utmost confidence I would recommend Dr. Eisner to anyone. I did my homework and you should too, but, you can profit by my experiences.

Dr. Brian Eisner is an outstanding Doctor- and goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are taken care of. A wonderful compassionate human being- who is brilliant in all areas of performance in his practice of Urology. I am humbled to be in his continuing care.

Dr. Eisner removed a kidney stone for me and did a complete follow-up to determine the reason why I get them and what I can do to prevent them. My previous surgeon did not do this.
I saw Dr. Eisner in his MGH Danvers office -- so much nicer than going into Boston!

If I had to camp out the hospital to wait for an appointment I would. I have been to most of the urologist in worcester county and they didn't do anything for my kidneys which were INFESTED with stones. Dr. Eisner saw me for the first time then 2 weeks later I had a surgery date to clean out my kidneys. If it wasn't for dr. Eisner I would be a 40/yr old mom of 2 on dialysis. He saved my kidneys.

Dr.Eisner saved my kidneys .

I've had quite a few kidney stones in my lifetime and have been to several urologists. I am so glad I found Dr. Eisner. He is caring and attentive, and has a great personality that puts you at ease. I had been going to a large suburban urology practice and never knew which doctor would show up when I had appointments or surgery scheduled. That's not the case with Dr. Eisner - he is always at my appointments and surgeries. After the surgery he has left his office to come back to go over what he did and answer any questions. Dr. Eisner not only treats kidney stones but has a lot of knowledge on ways to reduce the incidence of the stones too. MGH also has dedicated equipment to treat kidney stones unlike many hospitals that only have the machine 1 or 2 days a week. Because of this, the wait for lithotripsies tend to be shorter.

Both kidneys were infested with stones. Dr. Eisner saved my kidneys. I had been going to the Worcester ma hospitals for years and they did nothing. I was referred to by dr Eisner and kidneys were only functioning at 30%. I saw him and that numbered as doubled. I was only 38 when I saw him. I would be on dialysis if it was not for this amazing Dr.

Best Doctor I have ever Used. Period! I had an issue with several Kidney stones & was referred to Dr Eisner, by my local urologist, I had an appointment within 2 days. From the office staff, to the nurses and Dr Eisner, everyone was a true pleasure to deal with. I ended up having two surgeries with Dr Eisner to remove the stones, His follow up, including, personally, calling me once I went home, was extraordinary. I HIGHLY recomend Dr Eisner, if you have Kidney Stones, you will be treated by someone who sees you as a person & not just a customer.

I had seen Dr. Eisner for 2 surgeries in both my kidneys that each had stones in them. After my second one he said I was "totally cleaned out" he sent me home, within 2 hours of getting home I was rushed to my ER because I had severe pain which ended up being a blood clot in my bladder, I was sent home with a catheter for A WEEK!! Then less then 3 weeks later I had severe pain in my left kidney, I called his office and as always no one picked up got Nurse emergency line left a message crying out in pain, it said they would get back to me within 24 hours... well 40 hours later after I took myself to my ER in a different town and was taken great care of .. they finally got back to me!????? I WAS IRATE! I felt the whole time I was dealing with him I was on a conveyer belt and he rushed me through my questions and concerns and couldn't wait to get to the next patient. And come to find out when I went to my ER in pain there was a 9 mm stone left in there??!!! How does that get missed by him?? I will not ever go back to him.

I had Doc Eisner at MGH and would not recommend him. If you do use him, I would use him only for preplanned surgery, not emergence and not unless you have been "marked" before surgery. He performed surgery on me and gave me a stoma that was completely hidden from view and left me unable to care for it. I had to have a second surgery many months later to relocate it with another surgeon. This was good because it turns out the first surgery would not have held anyway. I would not recommend him. He is however a very nice person.

He is a very nice guy, but not enough experiences to handle surgery well.
He lives in his own world, not a mature Doctor. Act like a child. His ignoring cause big problem for whole medical team. He dose not comunication enough with patient.
His stents surgery is not follow standard procedure, make patients very suffering.
MGH should review his work.

I'm surprised people have had good interactions with him. He came across as extremely arrogant to me, and there is no reason why he should be so arrogant. My visit with him was not good, for he was dismissive, condescending, and rude. If you have something going on that is more difficult that what Dr. Eisner is used to, you should really think about seeing someone else.

do not recommend him at all. or his np or his RN
