I believe Dr. Naftulin is one of the best urologist. Did an excellent procedure for my cancer. His office leaves a lot to be desired. No returned phone calls, never available to speak too personally, Terrible.

I give 3 stars to Appointment due to the difficulty in making the first appontment . I had robotic prostatectomy performed by Dr Naftulin. The pre-op work was informative and he gave me the options and did not rush me into making a decision. As my PSA score continued to rise I elected for the surgery. I had several appointments with other agencies preparing me for the surgery and I was impressed at how many outside individuals told me that I had selected one of the best doctors to perform the surgery. I even had a choice between two hospitals where to have the procedure done. Recovery was not fun because the opioids made me nauseated, which was more miserable than dealing with the pain. Upon discharge, which was the next day, I elected to stop taking the pain meds, which was a good choice and the pain was tolerable and the nauseousness went away in about a day and I started feeling normal again. During Post-op appoints I was treated respectfully. I had telephone contact with the doctors RN after surgery and before my Post-op appointment, which was helpful in understanding how my body was adjusting during the recovery. I recommend Dr. Nafulin to others. He was recommended to me by a friend who also had this procedure done.

Not only is my experience with Dr Naftulin very positive because of his knowledge, but he tells you as much detail as you want to know. He also does it with an appropriate level of humor.

Dr. Naftulin has kept me going since I was first diagnosed with 5 cancerous tumors back in 2006. He is smart and has a great bed-side manner.

Dr. Naftulin is a skilled surgeon. He accurately diagnosed my condition and performed a flawless surgery. He is very knowledgeable and clearly explains his clinical opinion. I was very impressed with his performance.

Dr. Naftulin is a very skilled and knowledgeable healer. Hes treated me twice for kidney stones (one episode on the 4th of July) and my husband for prostate cancer recently. Our outcomes have been excellent thanks to his experience. He is matter-of-fact in demeanor and answered all of our questions quite thoroughly. We highly recommend him.

Hes the best. Very friendly, very knowledgeable and a skilled surgeon. He removed one of my kidneys and afterwards I had very little discomfort and my recovery was extremely fast. All the nurses in the hospital had great things to say about him when they asked me who my surgeon was and I told them Dr. Naftulin.

This doctor is a miracle medicine man. He saved my life and did so in the most professional and courteous manner. He always had time for my questions, was most kind and understanding and most important, he really knows what he is doing. His staff is well trained, well coordinated and most helpful. I read some of the other reviews and I cannot belive they are talking about the same office. All of us should be grateful that a doctor with his talent and credentials is practicing right here in our backyard. I owe my life, literally, to him and his staff and would recommend him to anyone!!!

I had the Di Vinci surgery for a 2-- cancerous tumor on my left kidney. I was completely amazed at how easy this was and so complete. I was released from the hospital the next day. The oncologyst report late told me tha I had the all clear. I go in every 6 months for a check up. He SAVED my life, and thats a good thing.

Having to see a urologist is embarassing. But Dr Naftulin put me at ease right away. He was well recommended by my doctor, who said that he was the guy to go to if you need your prostate out. Dr Naftulin gave me lots of info about options for my cancer treatment. He referred me to other specialists for more information. I liked that. I decided on surgery with Dr Naftulin, and my operation went well. The robot surgery was amazing, I went home the next day. I still see him for my follow ups. I really recommend him.

Dr Naftulin is very professional and apparently an excellent surgeon. His office is another thing entirely. Since they reorganized they have become sloppy, rude and disorganized. The patients and doctor deserve better from the office staff.

dropped my insurance without notification but still allowed appointment to be booked 2 months in advance! An hour of driving to be notified at the check in desk; bad administrative practice.

If you can get past the office staff who direct you to call your primary care provider for issues that this Dr is treating you for, then this guy is great.

I received a poor diagnosis and am worse off as a result

His bedside manner is not at all friendly -- he is a man who rarely looks up from his file to make eye contact and, when he does, he is impatient and detached. His staff is also not friendly or helpful. His surgical skill level is average, based on my results and a friend who also had less-than-good results. I would not advise letting this physician treat ANYONE.

My husband received the incorrect diagnosis and treatment from Dr. Naftulin and for over a year of physical and mental stress, was brushed off by him. After seeking treatment and the proper testing from another urologist, the proper and devastating diagnosis was made, which should have been obvious to Dr. Naftulin. I would NEVER suggest any of our friends to see this doctor.

When the results of my surgery were less-than-good, he shrugged and said, --Sometimes that happens--, saying that he had no idea why the outcome, and later hinting that I should take responsibility for the results. If I attempted to speak for longer than ten seconds, he would interrupt and look at my file -- giving the impression that he was more interested in numbers than any anecdotal information I may have. His visits with his patients seem very short, so he gives the impression of truly running a --patient mill-- -- turning over a volume of people in the shortest time possible.

Find another urologist.

Dr Naftulin is capable of accurate diagnosis, but there are several significant problems with his practice. First his staff is abrupt and of questionable competence. No phone returns and they act more as a team of watch dogs to keep Doc N isolated. Having said that he himself removes himself with patient encouragement and communication. When asked if he responded to his patient portals He indicated he did not bother with emails and deferred to his nurse. He clearly is not flexible in his referrals and does not like to be challenged, and has become impossible to meet with, and therefore there is no support or access for patient concerns complications form procedures. Here his staff is heartless and will not even try to get you into the doctor. Doctor should write text books but has no place working with patients. Very disappointing.

More interested in the numbers on your chart than whether you are in pain. Too busy to ask more than a few questions. Often displays impatience with the patient. Wants to do surgery on you because thats where the money is.

Terrible front office staff and the doctor is no better. He does not seem to care much and appointment left me wondering why I had even bothered to go him in the first place. He seemed irritated that I had even made an appointment with him and I was a new patient. I will be switching doctors. I have no clue why my primary care physician even recommended him. I would recommend seeing another urologist even if it means driving to another city.

My rating is for the administration of Dr Naftulins office. I was referred to him by my general physician. I called to make an appt after waiting about 5 days without any call from them. The lady who answered the phone, said --Dont call us, well call you-- and --our scheduler is very good and will get back with you within 24 hours of receiving the referral--. They never did. I had my Dr office call again and again. Still no call from them. Finally, I asked to speak with the schedule... left message. 3 days later got a call that the hold up was I needed lab work done. BTW, I had already had that from the original referral a couple of week prior. They said they wanted --new-- results of the same tests. I did that. Then waited again to hear from them... nothing. Called my main Dr again and they found out needed one more test. Got that (BTW, this was also a duplicate test from a couple of week prior). Another week went by, no call. Tried calling again. They said --you are on the list for scheduling and we will call in the order of the list. Another week and no call. Call my Dr again, then finally got a call to schedule with Dr Naftulin. Two weeks out. The day before my appt, got a call saying they no longer take my insurance. --we should in the future, but not now.-- Again, never saw the Dr, so not sure about him, but getting to see him might be quite a task if you ever get to.

Was referred here by primary care for an elective procedure. Have tried for MONTHS to get someone to return a call or pick up the phone. Giving up and will try next year when I switch health care providers during open enrollment.

I was seeking an urologist with not only excellent clinical knowledge but good communication skills. When I brought up issues, he responded --Dont Challenge Me--, and then when I mentioned a prior urologists opinion, he snapped, --I dont care what Dr. ____ said!-- Then he suggested a TURP with not having sufficient background knowledge to make that recommendation.Dr. Naftulin then proceeded to have me sit on a table and turn over, and without telling me that he was about to perform a digital rectal exam until the last second, proceeded to give me an exam that has resulted in rectal pain since the exam over six weeks ago. I believe he may have been upset at my questioning and failed to use lubrication and/or was too forceful. He did not offer me a tissue after the test, and did not discuss the result of his test with me, but just left the room. His nurse said she had never witnessed him not giving a tissue to a patient following an exam. Later upon consulting with the doctor, he told her that he indeed did not offer me a tissue, but only because I rolled up my pants --too quickly--. The nurse asked me if I wanted to speak to the doctor, and I responded affirmatively, but he subsequently refused to answer my calls. I called another urologists office, and the representative for the office stated that several doctors refer to Dr. Nafulin; however, that she has heard many complaints regarding his care and unusual behavior. I wish I had never seen this man

This is the absolute worst doctor that I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. The initial visit was less than 20 minutes while the wait time for him to show up was 35 mins. The attention he gave me was mediocre. I found him aloof and unconcerned. I didnt feel like he even wanted to treat me. He refused to view the prior tests done elsewhere and had me visit his preferred clinic to perform the exact same test. Its been five months plus and multiple identical tests completed and still this doctor will not make a diagnosis or recommend a remedy or course of action. I think he is pushing out any treatment because his moving from his current contract to his own private practice and trying to move patients over to him. I am so very disappointed. The office staff also is absolutely terrible at following up with anything. They dont know the system and always assume its your or a 3rd partys responsibility to follow up instead of proactively doing anything. I really regret having wasted so much time with this terrible doctor. I dont have a diagnosis and I have wasted months of hoping to get one. I might be old but I still need a quick diagnosis. Five months of waiting is long enough.
