Fantastic doctor. She has a very calm and caring bedside manner. Listens aptly to her patients, and is very reassuring to be around. She has done a couple of my lithotripsies, and I have never been made to feel uncared for with her.

THE BEST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER BEEN TO.

I went to visit Dr. Boyd because trace amounts of blood had been found in my urine by my general practicioner. I visited Dr. Boyd, who found no blood. As a precaution, she ordered an ultrasound (my first ever) to double check that everything was in tact. That procedure allowed me to find out that I had uterine polyps, which no one else had ever suspected since im only 27 years old. Because of her efforts, I now know my current health level and can proceed with obtaining more knowledge on how to move forward. Thank you Dr. Boyd and staff!

I THINK DR. BOYD IS ONE OF THE CAREINGIST DR.S HERE IN SAVANNAH. AS MUCH AS I KNOW SHE CARES FOR HER PATIENTS, I HOPE TO NEVER SEE HER AGAIN AFTER MY NEXT ROUND OF APPOINTMENTS. THAT MEANS IM WELL AND DO NOT NEED HER SERVICES. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, HOPE YOUR PRACTICE GROWS AND GROWS (NO PUN INTENDED AS THATS WHY I WENT TO SEE HER I THE FIRST PLACE---A GROWTH ON MY LEFT KIDNEY).

After almost 7-8 years of being run through the paces with many doctors, many surgeries, and many misdiagnoses. I am so relieved to say I have found the most consistent, caring, and reliable urologist. I drive several hours just to see her and it is well worth it!!

Two years ago I had an 8mm kidney stone--complete left side blockage and a smaller one on the right. Dr Boyd has got me back to full function, pain free and the only ongoing treatment is to drink too much water or lemon aid daily (80 oz seems like too much until you get used to it. She is the most patient, caring, attentive and knowledgeable Dr. I have had. I generally distrust Doctors to the extent that they will take out things unnecessarily--tonsils, appendix, one mole per visit, etc., you know this. Still, at age 66, she ranks in the top two. The staff is excellent, the PA is good--not as knowledgeable naturally, but helpful. The billing can be confusing and confused between upstaires and down, but everyone works to help at every instance of need.

She Is wonderful! She listens intently, she Is very concerned about you and your feelings. She is also knowledgeable about her field and explains things carefully and slowly to you. Thanks, Dr. Boyd

At 60, I never had surgery and my wife and I didnt know what to expect. Buffi answered all our questions during our initial consultation. I saw her the morning of my surgery, then two times after my surgery, before I left the hospital. I know people who had the same procedure I had and only saw their surgeon one time, the rest of the visits were handled by PAs. Buffie obviously cares about her patients and has a great bed-side manner. I dont even know if she has PA, if so I never met them..I hope I never need a surgeon again but if I ever do I hope I get her.

Dr. Boyd is a wonderful doctor and a lovely lady. What a great combination. She has a way of making you totally comfortable while being very professional. She rates NUMBER ONE in my book. Wouldnt even consider and other Urologist.

Dr. Boyd was usually on time for my visits, and she followed up with tests in a reasonable amount of time. She was a bit short with me when Id ask her questions though, both on the initial exam and later when explaining the results of tests. Her initial examination was not very thorough, and that was later verified by another urologist who essentially said she was uninformed on my condition. However, she did come up with some novel ideas for treatment, one of which appears to have lead indirectly to a resolution of my problem. Since her initial diagnosis turned out to be incorrect, perhaps she made a lucky call. One person on her staff was impatient when I asked her to explain the results of a test, but all the others were good, and everyone can have a bad day now and then.

Dont expect any follow up phone calls, personal attention, or much concern. Does not return phone calls. Very difficult to get messages to. Seems to always be out of town or too busy. Not recommended.

I have been seeing Dr. Boyd for roughly 5yrs. In the beginning everything was great. Then when I made appointments thinking they were with her turned out to only be with the PA. I understand that I do not always need to be seen by her personally but after a major surgery I would hope to see her. After 5-6 major surgeries she still isnt sure whats wrong with me. What drew the line with me & her was that she was trying to pawn me off to another doctor in NC. I wasnt ok with that since she is my doctor and she knows my conditions. Evidently now she dos not know what else to do. I trusted in her! Im not even sure how I feel. I feel let down that she is trying to send me to another Urologist and that she is just throwing in the towel instead of finding other alternatives. I mean in Savannah she is known to be the top IC specialist. I guess I see things different and hope for her to find a miracle or at least give it her best. Nobody knows what living with Chronic Pain feels like unless your in it. Just dont pretend to care when honestly you dont and are trying to send YOUR patient to another state. I became your patient for a reason. Because you were suppose to be the best with my condition.

Went to ER after failed surgery by partner c/o peri umbilical pain. Boyd on call never looked at operative notes of Miles. Phone diagnosis of kidney stone. Sent home . Admitted less than 24 hours later in septic shock evidently precipitated by levofloxin given prior, during and after surgery. Spent 6 days in ICU, 3 more on step down unit nearly died!, Boyd refuses to discuss this misdiagnosis and failure to read my chart prior to phone Dx. Very angry with her and her inability to say I am sorry or even consider this a teaching or learning moment for her. P.Peter MSN RN

This “doctor” turned her back on my Mom when my Mom needed her care the most. Why there are uncaring, callous, cold hearted people such as Boyd who get into this profession is truly a mystery to me and this is a sad reflection on the health care system today in our country. What an unethical and shamed dereliction of duty.
