I would recommend Dr Kashefi for all her professional actions. The nurse was caring and informative. I was given paperwork for a number of tests all which were completed within a very short period of time...I wish we could have the easy comforting experience with all physicians.

Dr Kashefi is an amazing urologist. Went to her for my kidney stones and she has the best bedside manner and attitude. Been to other urologists and they were no where close to her.

There are not enough words to describe the compassion, expertise and professionalism Dr. Kashefi exhibited during my recent visits for kidney stones. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate Dr. Kashefi a 20+

I saw Dr Kashefi after my doctor said my PSA numbers went up. I was able to see her the next day and had very little waiting time. Her staff is excellent and Dr. Kashefi examined me. She said I might want to get a biopsy or I could wait and see if my numbers go up. I decided to do the biopsy and it was done within the week. Dr. Kashefi took the time to explain everything she was going to do which helped me relax. After the results were in, she called me to tell me I had cancer in my prostate and scheduled a meeting right away at the end of her work day, so she could take all the time I needed to ask questions. She offered options and support and was very caring. She and her staff were excellent and I would recommend her to all of my friends and family!

Dr. Kashefi was a recommended by my family practice physician for E.D.consultation. The appointment process was easy and timely with minimal wait once I was checked in. Dr. Kashefi was extremely professional and spent considerable time overviewing my treatment options. She also had her staff work around my scheduling issues and arranged for a follow up appointment which was commensurate with both our schedules, in fact, more to mine than hers. I would recommend Dr. Kashefi to my friends and family.

SHE IS WELL-TRAINED, COURTEOUS, AND CONSERVATIVE IN HER SURGICAL APPROACH

I was simply thrilled to find a caring and attentive urologist after foundering for almost three years with another group. As a result I have recommended her several times. She is up to speed on IC and gets right back to you when you have questions.

Dr. Kashefi handled my case in a prompt and professional manner. Due to the nature of my diagnosis I was seen by her and scheduled for surgery within 2 business days. She is a very caring and patient doctor and explained all the issues I had in front of me. She performed my surgery - no problems. I highly recommend her.

I would not recommend this urologist. She had a sarcastic, arrogant demeanor, especially when I attempted to have a real discussion with her about the source of my symptoms and have input about what diagnostic testing I could tolerate. She actually mocked me to my face in front of my husband when I inquired about sedation for a cystoscopy. Thankfully, I followed an extremely stricter IC diet than she proposed and delayed having the cystoscopy until I felt less inflamed and ready. And I insisted on sedation, which was definitely necessary in my case. If I ever have a flareup, I will be looking to an empathic doctor who respects her/his patients input.

Snotty, superior attitude with no empathy for patients. Why put up with this when there are more-experienced urologists out there who will not subject you to this routine?

Because she dismissed my mother over a period of 4 months throwing pills for cystitis at her we ended up having to deal with invasive bladder cancer. She did not have the "textbook" signs of cancer and therefore Dr. Kashefi chose not to scope her. Over and over again. Do not see this doctor. Mom now wears a bag. Thanks Dr. Kashefi.

The doctor was running late by 20 minutes. I thought it may be a good thing as if she was spending time with other patients then she would spend a good amount of time with me. Not so! She came into the room for our first visit and already had an IC pamphlet in her hand (beforen we even spoke). I told her i had a BAD UTI a few weeks back and after antibiotic treatment still has residual pain after peeing. She told me I had IC and handed me the pamphlet. She said my new culture was fine (which I knew it was as I did not think I had a UTI just residual pain) so since my culture was fine any pain i was still having was IC. She recommended all these medications and bladder installations weekly in her office. A week later I went to another urologist (at the recommendation of my OBGYN and family). This urologist does the leading research in IC. He thoroughly talked to me about my symptoms and most recent UTI. He concluded it was not IC and just inflammation from the bad UTI. A week later I was fine and have Ben fine ever since.

""Dr." Kashefi missed high Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test results THREE TIMES. This doctor definitely has issues. She is snotty, she is rude, she is late, she has herself up an a pedestle and all of this applies to her staff too. If she is nice/ service oriented etc. it no doubt is very difficult for her. I dont say this lightly but, she should probably get some therapy. As far as the glowing reviews goes, they had to have been posted by her or her friends.

Over the course of a few years, Kashefi ordered five or six prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests. Three of those tests came back above normal, yet she neglected to tell me and she neglected to order a biopsy, which would have been standard practice. As a result, I know now Stabe IVb metastatic prostate cancer that's spread to lymph nodes and bones. As a result of her carelessness my odds of surviving another five years are about 30%. I filed a complaint with the state; the investigation process is understandably fairly long. I'm hoping the result of the investigation results in the loss of her license to practice in California. I see my case isn't the first one reviewed here that involves a missed cancer diagnosis.

Horrible, I repeat HORRIBLE experience. I had an emergency situation that required contacting Dr. Kashefi for an appointment as soon as possible. I called the office and she was on lunch so I left a message stating that it was an urgent situation. Three hours later there was no call back. I ended up calling them again and the staff was extremely rude and told me that Dr. Kashefi was busy and couldnt see me for a couple of days. They did not even want to hear about my situation and were giving me attitude when I asked if there was anyway I could speak to her. They passed me along to a different receptionist who was awful. She was giving me attitude about how loud my phone was and kept repeating herself rudely after I had answered her questions. I started complaining to her about the horrible service I was receiving during this pressing and stressful situation and she gave me attitude and then HUNG UP ON ME. This was seriously the WORST, ABSOLUTELY WORST experience I have had. I ended up calling a different urologist at Pomerado who was friendly and got me in for an appointment right away. Stay away from this doctor and her staff at all costs.
