I came to Dr Glassman after other doctors and their hospital botched the job. A friend of the family, and a local Westchester doctor reccomended him.. his own son had gone to him. I was almost septic and in a lot of trouble... Dr. Glassman beat the infection and did a stellar job on the TURP. I also found out that some other doctors also sent their kids to him, and my wife recognized that some local Westchester VIPs also go to him... So you figure it out. He may not be as slick as some of my other doctors, but Dr. Glassman did a great job...a top notch job, and a MUCH MUCH better job, with no game playing. White Plains Hospital is also top notch...which is a big deal. It only takes one bad nurse to put you into a world of pain..and dont think morphine can get you out of that kind of hole. .I was in trouble, I trusted Dr. Glassman with my life, and he came through.

I couldnt have asked for a better doctor. His diagnosis was spot on, Treated me like a friend and his followup was great. The staff in the White Plains Hospital ALL recommended him and even offerd to make an appointment for me. His ability to listen and respond was outstanding.

While Dr Glassman may not have a great bedside manner, he is thoroughly professional and provided me with excellent care from diagnosis through post surgery. Thanks Dr!

I have been seeing Dr. Glassman for a number of years. I have always found him extremely helpful and never felt rushed even when I knew he was. I think this is the reason some rate him poorly for punctuality. He never rushes you. His office RNs are the best. In short, I could not have a more knowledgeable and sensitive doctor. That said, be careful when you say that you obtained information from the internet. I have never waited more than a week or so for a routine appointment.

Slightly distant though not unfriendly. He knows what he knows, but when something came up that his first prescription didnt treat, --sorry deal with it--. I never got the impression he especially cared about my health.

Dr. Glassman subjected me to quite a few tests and prescribed a number of medications without any success in helping ease my nocturia. Finally he gave up and prescribed ambien to help ease my loss of sleep. When my insurance company called his office to confirm my need for the medication, his office refused to accept responsibility and told the agent that he was doing me a favor because I asked for the prescription. When my insurance agent told me what happened I was stunned with disbelief.

Ive been seeing Dr. Glassman for decades, and find him to be outstanding in every respect. I have total confidence in his expertise & candor. His focus is entirely on his patients welfare. He is always a distinct pleasure to see as he is optimistic, positive, supportive of any and all concerns & spends as much time as his patients need in every given situation. He inspires optimism, the likelihood of a good outcome, and the confidence that whatever happens, he will actively be involved and has had no hesitation in calling in the leading experts in his field when a disorder calls for it. I feel fortunate to have him as my physician.

He is pompous and out of touch with current technology, time to retire. Obnoxious to me while I was in pain in the hospital. Rude and condescending. Who wants that?!

Lack of professionalism and medical knowledge. Didnt know how to handle an emergency with my father. Sent us to my fathers other hospital and then never followed up to see if he was OK.

I absolutely do not recommend Dr. Glassman. Read all the other negative reviews on this site and other doctor review sites. His bedside manner is awful, just awful. Nobody is asking for a --slick-- doctor like some other reviewer suggests, just somebody who is a decent and friendly human being.

I was interested in seeing the comment that Dr Glassman suggested that a patient see a psychiatrist. That seems to be a familiar line with him. Many years ago I was bedwetting which was very disturbing. Went to see the doctor and he said I should sees a psychiatrist too. Instead I saw another urologist who found 1000 ccs in my bladder due to a blockage which required surgery. How can anyone miss 1000 ccs?

"My son was born 2 months premature & was too tiny to be circumcised. White Plains Hospital NICU referred me to Dr. Glassman. I found Dr. Glassman to be cold & abrupt. Regardless, he was the urologist that the NICU uses, so I felt comfortable enough to use him for the procedure when my son turned 1. Right after the procedure was done, Dr. Glassman made a comment about my son's penis size, saying that ..."

Cold. Arrogant and when confronted with an emergency, he is unable to handle it, sends you elsewhere (where they easily fix the problem) and never follows up. Awful. Dont go.

What a waste of my time going to this doctor. Didnt explain to me what my issue was and prescribed medication. He could have just said that he wasnt sure and refer me to someone else, but he didnt. Dirt bag...

If I were to rate this place I would rate 0 stars. I do not recommend seeing Dr. Charles Glassman. My husband went for a prostate biopsy in the month of December with this doctor. According to “Health Matters” a magazine by White Plains Hospital, he is a “Top Doctor” and is specialized in that procedure, when in reality, he is the complete opposite. While doing this procedure, Dr. Glassman most definitely was not careful and did not pay attention to the medical issues that my husband had. He never informed us that there was a risk of contracting a bad infection. I would have never done the procedure in the first place if he told me there was a risk of a bad infection, because my husbands medical issues would not allow him to fight the infection, which is what ended up happening. He ended up in the hospital with sepsis. After being in the hospital for three weeks, he passed away because he could not fight the infection that THIS doctor gave him all because he did not pay enough attention to his patient. Dr. Glassman rushed my husband to get this procedure done, with no explanation. I don’t think that he should be labelled a “Top Doctor” because of negligence, my husband is gone.

I waited over a month for an appointment, having to reschedule once at the doctors request. Two days before the appointment, they called me to reschedule again. They were rude and unapologetic. The next available appointment is in two months. This is a shameful way to conduct business.

Dr Glassman scheduled biopsy for prostate cancer without first checking that my PSA levels had returned to normal.
Office it too busy to provide quality care

I made an appointment more than a month ago. I had to reschedule once to accommodate the doctor. Today, two days before the appointment, a woman from the office called to tell me that they need to reschedule again. She was unapologetic and rude. The next available appointment is in two months. Shameful.

I was relieved to read another commenters review about Dr. Glassman saying the problem was in my head. He did the same for me and suggested I needed to see a psychiatrist, not a urologist. It is extremely abusive for a doctor to say this to you when youve already had to work up the courage to see him, in my case as an otherwise healthy young male with chronic testicular pain. What a doctor should say is, --I believe you have a problem, Im just not sure how to help you.-- This represents the worst kind of arrogance in a doctor, which is thankfully dying out in the age of internet reviews and greater access to medicine. In addition to waiting a while in the waiting room, he paced by the exam room (door wide open) a number of times and gave me nasty looks as if to say, --What are you doing here?-- even before he graced me with his 10 minutes of wisdom.

When he could not find anything wrong with me he hinted that it was all in my head and not to go looking for trouble. I went to another dr and was diagnosed with a serious problem.Worst bed side manner ever!!!

I would give Dr. Glassman 0 stars. My 2 year old son and my husband saw him back in 2019. The White Plains hospital referred us there for my sons undescended testes after he was in the NICU. Dr. Glassman is very personable; however, dont let that fool you. I told my husband to go there for a vasectomy when he wanted one he was so nice. After my husband complained of right sided testicular pain, Dr. G didnt do anything. The pain eventually went away. Fast forward to 2020. My husband was diagnosed with stage 3 testicular cancer, which is very treatable if caught early, >95% cure rate. After a year of chemo and a stem cell transplant, we still dont know if it worked. We go back to the oncologist today. Its always nerve racking. With Covid pandemic and his health condition, neither one of us has been able to work for more than a year. Caught early this cancer is 95% treatable. My husband was told by Indiana University, the experts, that he had 25% chance to live after his treatments. Dr should have done a more thorough exam. The abnormal testes would most likely have shown up on ultrasound, a 5 minute noninvasive procedure. And my son needs surgery too! We go for surgery #2 in September for him. Go to a Dr. who does a proper and thorough medical treatment. We live in SC now - otherwise, I would have gone there in person to complain. Dr. Glassman never called back after I called to tell him about my husbands cancer. Great person this is. I just hope I can save a life by telling people to go to a doctor that cares.

Waited an hour and a half to see this joker. His bedside manner is worse than awful, there are no words for it. Comes across as very arrogant- I could almost forgive his attitude if he had top tier credentials and affiliated with a top tier institution. Where does the ego come from then? I have no idea!
