Dr. Cefalu preformed a major surgery and treated me for bladder cancer when he was in Shreveport, Louisiana. In my opinion Dr. Cefalu is by far one of the best Urologist a patient can obtain treatment from. Yes, I miss Dr. Cefalu.

really wish I felt like there was a resolution to my issue. The doctor basically made me feel as if my problems were made up or that I wasn’t in the pain I was in. I asked multiple times what I should do and he continued saying he didn’t know what he could do for me. I gave a urine sample and the amount of blood in my urine was horrible. When I asked him what I should do about my pain that I’m experiencing, the bloody urine, and stones I pass when at home he told me I had to physically catch a stone and bring it to him as if I know when they’re going to magically fall out he also had the audacity to ask if I have reached into my TOILET to grab one he then said it could be blood clots... really? Even after I explained to him it was rock like substance falling out when I urinate. I told him I was in a lot of pain and he stated he couldn’t help me. I feel I was unheard, I was rushed but more importantly I feel as though I wasted my time in this office. I can’t believe I was even recommended to come here. Clearly I was recommended because a physician in the ER stated the issues I was having there were issues that needed to be resolved by a nephrologist. 0 resolutions, 0 compassion, he didn’t even say goodbye on the way out. To be told my “story didn’t add up.” Is a terrible way to practice. I then was told I as the patient had to go out of my way to get a CD from other hospitals proving I’ve had stones and CT’s done at another hospital. ISN’T THAT YOUR JOB TO COLLECT MY MEDICAL RECORDS? Or just to listen to the fact that this has been an on going issue and something is truly causing me a great amount of pain that I’m in and out of emergency rooms. My husband and I are in disbelief of the care. I will NOT be back and I will be warning others of this horrible experience. He had the audacity to say he’s never heard of someone having multiple kidney stones before all of my stones have been passed in my home I’ve never been admitted to the ER to be able to have them be able to catch the stones when I am in the emergency room, I go into the ER because of the pain I have after passing and the worry that there is more. I had let him know that I was experiencing great pain before I was called in the morning by the office and planned to go to the emergency room and still he gave me 0 resolutions for my issues and I am still dealing with the pain in my flank area and groin. I was feeling so relived to see a specialist for this because I’ve dealt with this pain for so long and to be treated and dealt with the way I was i am unbelievably saddened. Please go see someone else!!!!

My father had surgery with him. Called to complain of infection symptoms. Was told to take a covid test. Ended up in the ER a day later with sepsis from his catheter post surgery. Hospital discharged him with PICC line and no home health agency to remove it. Was instructed to go to ER to get it out. No follow up care after a week in house of sepsis. Patient Neglect. Will be reporting to the hospital and Medical Board.
