All negative reviews on here are obviously written by one person. Despite what they say, Dr. Crane was cleared by the California and Texas medical boards of any wrongdoing in any of the "malpractice cases" the person refers to. It's public record that he was cleared and found innocent and all cases were closed. This can be easily found online if you don't believe me. When I choose to use Dr. Crane I did my research and didn't just believe reviews I read by patients who obviously have an agenda. When I went through my surgical procedure with Dr. Crane, I found him to be a genuinely caring and incredibly talented and knowledgeable surgeon. He obviously cares deeply about our community. I hate it when members of our community try to tear down those who have dedicated their lives to helping us... ESPECIALLY when they do it with false and inaccurate information. Please for the sake of all members of our community, do your research, talk to Dr. Crane, rely on your instincts and not on those of someone trying to obviously ruin the career of the top phallo surgeon in the country. I had fantastic results and am glad I choose to go with Crane. There are so few medical professionals, much less surgeons, who have completely dedicated their career to helping us. STOP TEARING THEM DOWN. Be part of the solution, not the problem. Reach out to them and share your concerns. IF there are real issues, take the emotion out of it and call/email them with your honest concerns. Personally, I believe everyone at Crane Center deeply cares about the transgender community and I always felt heard. These are people who, when no one else would, choose to help us. There aren't new phallo surgeons coming out of medical schools. Of the dozen or so in the world, Dr. Crane does 60 times the number of these as all of the other surgeons combined. That data you can also find online in a study published last year. Again, be smart, do your own research and help elevate those who advocate and care for our community. That said, I'm not trying to dismiss any personal complications you may have had in your surgery. I get it. Complications happen. They suck. But it is part of the risk I was willing to take to be my real self. THANK YOU Dr. Crane for helping me get there. I would be dead by now if I hadn't found you and your team. And shame on members of our community who tear our allies down instead of working with them to help improve. Ok, soapbox over. Please do your own research. And please stop peddling false information when it can be easily proven you are wrong.

Dr. Crane and his staff were kind and helped me get past the anxiety. All my questions were answered and the procedure was as comfortable as it could be. Highly recommend them!

Dr. Crane and Dr. DeLeon made me feel very comfortable overall. They were both very easy to talk to and answered all of my questions. There was no wait to be taken to a consult room. Everyone in the office put me at ease very quickly.

There's a reason Dr. Crane is considered the world's best. He and his staff are top notch. Crane Center does more phalloplasties in one year than all the other surgeons in the U.S. combined. That's why I choose him and I'm so glad I did. I've never met a doctor who is more friendly and took the time to listen and answer all my questions. Throughout the whole process, I always felt supported and informed. Going to Crane Center was the best decision I ever made.

Dr. Crane is so smart and how much passion he has for helping people is amazing. I was scared and did not answer the phone on the first two calls. He sent me like four emails and called again. I answered and we talked for an hour. I feel much better about the risk involved and better that I can be who I want to be and real without having to die or poop come out both holes. I am so thankful to of found people that want to help me.

I am a transgender man and had bottom surgery with Dr Crane in the fall of 2019. My approach was this, I attended Philly Trans Wellness conference and listened to a few surgeons speak. I followed up with Dr Crane and booked with him. I was aware of the negative reviews only after I booked and did have concerns but still trusted my instincts . I trusted his experience as a surgeon for bottom surgery, I trusted him as a person and felt he genuinely cares for the transgender community. He does offer suggestions but I am stubborn once my mind is made up and I know where my limits are. I always take a minimum of 4 months before to prepare my body for surgery and make sure I have researched every complication that can occur and what my game plan to deal with it is. Yes I did have my share of post surgical complications straight out of the gate with bottom surgery but I had constant support from the team at the Crane Centre. At any point the nurses (who are in direct contact with Crane) were an email away. Which helped during some very scary moments where I was in extreme pain dealing with post surgical complications even after I returned back home a month after surgery my emails with concerns were answered .Surgery is not new to many of us. I personally at a hospital in my hometown have been treated like less than human when I needed serious life saving medical assistance. I understand how painful that experience can be so I am on guard for that but Dr.Crane and his team did their part, were supportive and gave me the best treatment I have ever received at a medical center and for that I am truly grateful.

This Dr. Crane has so many medical malpractice cases he got kicked out of California. My daughter almost had surgery with him until a friend showed me his cases, probably saved her life.

I had a fairly simple procedure (breast augmentation) with Dr. Crane and it was a very, very disastrous experience, it not only caused cosmetic damage to my body but also hurt me psychologically, I am afraid of another surgery, I met crane because I was going to have a procedure with Dr. Ashley de Leon, I was always interested in a breast augmentation because I am a transgender girl and although my boobs were growing with hormones, I do not know when I made the bad decision to do my breast augmentation with crane, I think that because the opportunity was given and I did not think that he was a bad surgeon. saw dr crane, I got with the vision of what I wanted with a fixed mind and sure but Curtis crane opposed what I wanted the form and type of procedure I was looking for saline implants, not for cheap but for several factors that I consider to be safer, he opposed and said that silocona were better. I was looking for an axillary incision and he it was closed to an incision under the breast, I also wanted submuscular and he also decided to make it subglandular and I made the worst mistake of doing what he advised me thinking that making things easier for him would be a better result for me and it was my worst decision because At the time he did not want to do what I was looking for, I would have decided not to have surgery with him and continue looking for that goal elsewhere but I didn't imagine he was such a bad surgeon ...I would have liked to read a comment like this before but I did not investigate very well because if you google negligence of Curtis cranes, many documents of negligence of curtis cranes will appear. I'm not saying that he can be mean to you, maybe he doesn't like me and that's why he did things wrong. but fence professionalism. please do your research ... because it is wrong that there are surgeons who sell themselves as high quality surgeons being terrible, taking advantage of the illusion us have . Austin Crane Center has a great team just need a good leader n other name because Curtis Crane is a surgeon's joke, my respects to dr. Ashley de Leon with whom I also had a procedure and we understood each other so well, she was the one who always arrived before each surgery. I have a lot of money and I like to pay just enough for a good job. If He had done a good job, my descriptions was different, but now as a blogger I have to warn other trans people that he only cuts and cuts does not mark, like other surgeons who even measure and draw the breast pouch, I guess because He thinks he is a good surgeon, he does it by calculation and that is why he made me a bigger bag than another ... He made me a big bag where the implant was loose and another where so tight the weight was stretched my nipple all over for not measuring, he never approached me before or after the surgery I saw him until the post, he told me! that because of the inflammation breasts were uneven lol and the worst thing is that he does not recognize an error He wanted that I wait 6 months while my skin and my nipple were incorrectly stretched to the contrary than I would if the implants had been placed correctly ... at one point I even thought that He just wanted me to look ugly because my breasts were very beautiful, 2 year on prescription hormones and 2 years of self-medicating made my breasts look very feminine they were similar, I did not have asymmetries, I am a dancer, all the people told me that I was going to have surgery if my breasts were beautiful and kept growing but I wanted more and I ended up worse than when I started my hormones, all because of wanting a little more and not looking for a good surgeon who knows how to do breast augmentation. to measure before making the bag, a surgeon who knows that the most important part to mark is the bottom and that it is exactly the same to avoid asymmetries. but well, as I say, it is a matter of logic, I do not understand what goes through this man's head (crane)

Strange how Dr. Crane gets a bad review and then all of a sudden glowing reviews appear. Investigate his malpractice cases in san Fran and the currently the texas medical board is investigating. I had surgery with him and I wouldn't allow him to conduct surgery on a pet squirrel.

I've read on this Doctor, he needs to be in jail and no where near an operating room.
