Dr Janoff gets the job done. He keeps that nasty cancer in my bladder from growing. Maybe one day the cancer will give up; it should because Dr Janoff isnt going to let it go anywhere.

Dr. Janoff is the quintessential physician and surgeon! Fortunately for me, I was referred to Dr. Janoff by my PC last July when a renal mass was discovered. Dr. Janoff is a rare find, not only is he an expert in robotic surgery which allowed me to keep most of my kidney (just a few short years ago I might have lost my entire kidney) but I found he was able to communicate his expertise with care and compassion. Dr. Janoff --rocks-- in my world!

I was nervous about getting a vasectomy but had nothing to worry about. A coworker recommended Dr. Janoff to me and now Id like to recommend him to you. I showed up for my consult and brief examination then a few weeks later had the procedure. Honestly he was half done before I knew hed started. The Valium they gave me when I arrived took the edge off my nerves and I walked out of there feeling great. A couple of days of rest on the couch and I was back to work. I just had my 1 week follow up visit yesterday and everything checked out. The wife and I took it for a test drive last night, still using other birth control of course, and would not have known anything had been done. I should add when you get tested in 3 months, its not what you picture, being led to a room to give a sample. Rather you take a container to the privacy of your home and bring it back to the office for testing. I was very impressed with Dr. Janoff and his staff and highly recommend him if you are considering a vasectomy.

I didn’t have an appointment but they got me in the next morning. Dr Janoff always tries to get to the bottom of the issue and he offered many options for me to try to help with my pelvic discomfort. Much appreciated.

Dr. Janoff did a great job with my vasectomy. The shot wasnt any worse than what you would get at the dentist and the procedure was very simple. Dr. Janoff keeps the atmosphere light and makes you feel comfortable. Most importantly, my recovery was short. The incisions were so small they didnt even require stitches, so all I had to do was ice properly and things went well. Highly recommend Dr. Janoff if you need a vasectomy.

Dr. Janoff is excellent—highly competent, attentive and funny. PA Kevin also very helpful. Mixed experience with other NW Urology staff—I had to continuously intervene on prescriptions (repeatedly sent to wrong pharmacy, staff said I was given a written prescription—wasn’t, catheter came undone on 3 hour ride home, not pleasant, and response to my call about spasms was “go the the ER,” wasn’t needed. Recommend providing larger catheter bag and firmly secured for long trip home and recommendation to take Azo.

Dr. Janoff was very informative through our whole process. He used caution and did thorough research before jumping in to the surgery. He was efficient and understanding of our needs as the patient and patients family.

Very good experience. Not much waiting time. Professional service. Simply put Dr. Janoff and staff are truly one of the best I’ve experienced. Even in a time crunch, Dr Janoff takes the time to explain the conditions of the day and options I have. He allows me to research any future procedure to make my final decision, never any pressure. His staff, are enjoyable and informative. All possess a great bed/ chair side manner, respectful always and humorous when appropriate.

I am hard of hearing. Announcements are ok, but there was someone in the waiting room almost the whole 40 minutes I waited from appointment time 11:30 , to time I concluded someone was using my name to come forward 12:10. In the meantime some one was holding show and tell with others who came and left. not a person asked her to move her case outside. That was unusual but very difficult for me, and at least one time I answered and was told someone elses name had been called. If your desk does not ask someone who is taking a break in your waiting room please ask the announcer to use a board with a name. doc good, but ?

The visit was very short for a first time visit with a new urologist but Dr. Janoff was thorough in his questions about my prior visits to a urologist in a different state.

I was referred to him re: possible kidney stone/ infection. He had an assistant call to tell me I had to have a CT scan 1st. I asked if it would be possible to get an MRI instead due to concerns re: radiation exposure. Assistant called back to say --no-- it had to be a CT scan. I asked for clarification. She wasnt able to do that. I gave in and had the scan done. It showed that I did have some sort of kidney stone. Since I wasnt able to catch the stone, he suspected it was probably a calcium based one. I was given a handout of foods to avoid. I had other questions re: the radiologists report, but he was unwilling to take his time speaking about any other organs/results. Speaking tbrough an assistant was a frustrting, ineffe tive way to communicate. I never did an explanation of why he insisted on the CT scan. I had only the one very brief appointment with him. I recall that the price I paid was quite high as I was paying privately. Poor value for my money.

My experience was nearly identical to another reviewer. In fact it helped me to recall more details. BACKGROUND: A PA, filling in for my internist, announced that shed sceduled an apt. for me with a surgeon. I was unclear as to why, but too stunned to ask. By the apt. date more test results were available. She said that instead of her services, I needed a uroligist. She recommended Dr. Janoff. As with the other reviewer, I was told that I must have a CT scan prior to apt. I too was told it HAD to be the CT vs MRI. (I was also concerned about radiation exposure. As with the other reviewer, I was given no logical rationale for that. The CT did reveal a stone/stones. I too was given a list of foods to avoid. As the other dissatisfied viewer reports, when I tried to ask him about body parts other than the kidney, he declined to answer. He told me to ask my primary doctor. However, I learned that my internist had taken medical leave & would be retiring. Because of several misteps, I didnt want to see the PA again.

Horrible experience. Right off the bat recommended an unnecessary biopsy after other tests proved that the chances of cancer were extremely unlikely. I quickly ran to another Urologist that wouldnt believe me when I told him his recommendation for a biopsy, after seeing my test results and conducting his own, and explained that it was --unnecessary and very extreme.--. Dr. Janoff also ordered a completely redundant and expensive blood test, and after I questioned it, he answered --I want to see the results, just for fun.-- He brushed off one of my other concerns with --Im not concerned with that-- with no further explanation, and on top of all that, he was not very polite and made me feel very uncomfortable (not the type of Dr. with which you want to feel uncomfortable). If we walks out on you abruptly without saying anything, dont wait for him to come back, that just means hes done. I would not recommend this Dr. at all.

I called to make an initial appointment and informed the person I spoke with that Medicare as my primary insurance and GEHA my secondary insurance. I gave them the contact number for GEHA and told them that they should call GEHA if they needed additional information about my secondary coverage. I was given an appointment. A few days later I received a voicemail message telling me that I would have to pay $300 for the appointment because GEHA was not in their network. Obviously no one took the time to contact GEHA or they would have know that I did not be in their network to be covered for any costs not paid by Medicare.
