Dr. David Ornstein

I consider my experience with Dr. Ornstein and his staff to be a life saver. After learning I had prostrate cancer, I studied up enough to know the basics of what was going on inside me. I also learned that when it comes to robotic surgery, you want a doctor who has done many, many of these operations, and has a great reputation and educational background. Dr. Ornstein is one of those few doctors belonging in the --expert-- category in his profession, in my opinion. I say this almost six months after my successful prostrate surgery. I am cancer free, almost totally continent, and getting some tingle back to my surprise. I dont need a talker. Dr. Ornstein and I discussed what needed to be discussed. I fully trusted his expertise and he did not let me down. I wanted the best, and the doctor and his team were the best.

I give dr ornstein 5 starz...........this man is a genius.........i coud have walked out of major surgery and went home.....no pain........everything works.........brilliant man...highly recomend......i just cant say enough good things about this great surgeon

My husband had prostate cancer and Dr. Ornstein did his surgery. He is cancer free and has excellent care. His swiftness in getting the surgery done with a skilled eye and experience, is our saving grace.

I also had a 3 minute appmt with him and he abruptly left without asking me if I had any questions or concerns! He may be a great surgeon but he has to spend more time with his patients.

Extremely rude, unprofessional doctor who did not have the courtesy to spend at least 2 minutes with me to explain potential complications post surgery and address my questions regarding return to work. If this is the best Naples has to offer for Urologist, it is worth the drive going somewhere else. The only saving grace was the graciousness of the ancillary staff; I believe Dr Orstein needs to take a 10 year course in human relations or change his specialty to pathologist.

If I could give him Zero I would. Worst doctor we have ever been to. My father unfortunately had an incident recently. Evidence showed that he likely passed a kidney stone that roughed up his urethra causing some bleeding along with it. Doctors at the hospital we went to referred us to Dr. Ornstein for his in depth check. At the appointment with this doctor he took, wait for it, a grand total of TWO MINUTES. I repeat TWO MINUTES in the exam room with my father. Yes we timed it. He came in and went to scope my father and had no sense of a gentle touch. You would think knowing a patient had just passed a kidney stone had had major bleeding because of it you would do your best to be as gentle as possible. Not at all. He roughly and painful scoped my father to the point that he was in tears from the pain. Dr. Ornstein then only said --youre fine-- AND LEFT. His own nurse had to come in, APOLOGIZE for his rude, and basically heartless, treatment of my father, and EXPLAIN everything this doctor was supposed to do. This man is a sorry excuse for a doctor and should not be allowed to have in depth patient contact. Heck I dont even think he knows the proper way to interact with a patient. He gave no information regarding my fathers situation and left them (my father and mother) in the same uniformed boat they were in when they got there. $350 dollars down the drain for a sorry excuse for a doctor. Will never be returning to this mans office again and we are praying that any other patient of his is getting the proper treatment they need.

I really dont know how knowledgeable this doctor is as he spent exactly two minutes with me. Then charged insurance company $380.00. Was NOT helpful at all.

I would rather rate this Dr. whom I wouldnt take my dog to see. He does not care about his patients, he is letting my 86 year old father sit at home for 5 days with a catheter that has blood draining from it. Im really not sure about the staff, but the Doctor is uncaring to say the least.

Very bad experience, this doctor has no ethics, he does not explain anything, he does not look at your face, he is super rude, he does not have a bit of humanity, his assistants never answer the phone, it is impossible to communicate with them, as a result of their negligence, my husband ended up in emergency.

Ive been seeing this doctor for 4 years. I never liked his bedside manner but figured he knew his stuff. Ive had surgery and procedures with him and find he is not very empathetic. The staff says they will call you back and they dont follow through. My last visit for a follow up with him will be my last. He doesnt even ask how I am. If Im feeling ok. He spend all of 2 minutes in the office and said see you next year. I will be seeing another doctor for another opinion. I gave him many chances. I would not recommend him or his staff
