Very Knowledgeable and Experienced Dr.! Procedure was pain free!!
September 16 , 2017
Saw Dr. Perlow yesterday for a no-scalpel vasectomy. Having heard the tales of people screaming or feeling intense shocks of pain during the procedure, I was honestly a bit nervous going in. Im glad to say I had absolutely nothing to worry about! The procedure took about 20 minutes total and was almost completely painless. I did feel a slight --kicked in the balls-- type of pressure/pain near the beginning, but Dr. Perlow quickly addressed this with additional anesthetic and I felt nothing for the remainder of the operation. I am now recovering and have felt little to no pain since having the procedure done. The surgical wound is also minimal and healing nicely. I would highly recommend Dr. Perlow.

Choosing to have a vasectomy created a lot a anxiety for me. However, the staff and doctor were amazing! They were completely professional and caring. They made the situation very comfortable. The doctor was very informative and interesting. He was professional and quick with the procedure while being gentle and somewhat entertaining with his humor. He also explained everything he did as he did it. The procedure he used was the most elegant way anyone could have a vasectomy. I will highly recommend Dr. Perlow to everyone I know!

I was diagnosed with bladder cancerous tumor in June 2011 .. Dr Perlow removed the tumor on July 5th and prescribed 8 BCG treatments and after the required treatments I had biopsy surgery in October and the biopsies were negative and am now cancer free .. This was a wonderful experience for me and I have the highest regard for Dr Perlow .. very professional and very proficient and would recommend him to anyone with bladder problems .. he and the staff were very kind and professional at all times and made sure that I was informed and comfortable with all the procedures ..

Outstanding Dr. and procedure. Dr.Perlow was awesome and so was his staff. Explained everything and talked to me the whole time. 10 mins to do the vasectomy and it was totally painless. I was amazed. One day after and no pain. I walked out and there was no pain. I would recommend this Dr. and the No Scalpel vasectomy to everyone. No Pain and fast. Dr. Perlow has a good sense of humor so if you dont like that kind of Dr., he is not for you.

Dr. Perlows vasectomy procedure was a breeze. I researched the all the procedures available and his --no scalpel-- was by far the least traumatic and quickest recovery. I have heard longer recovery times with the other procedures. Dr. Oz recommends the no scalpel. I was very happy with I went with Dr. Perlow.

It has been a while since I saw Dr Perlow. Even though I can no longer see him due to a location issue , I remember him as so kind. He is the kind of doctor I want and see that there are very few with such a generous spirit.

After reading some of his reviews i was a little nervous until i realised that most the complaints werent vasectomies at to those idiots i say dont go to a place called atlanta vasectomy for a kidney stone dr perlow is the best vasectomy dr . I dont like long drawn out processes of making 2 or 3 appt before surgery with dr perlow i went 1 time consult surgery all in one in and out in 1 hour the surgery took 10 minutes and was almost totally painless. The best part my insurance paid more than we expected and they sent me the refund before my insurance even told me wow amazing office people they are number 1 for a reason oh eah i was sore for 2 days after that was it very light pain didnt even take tylonal

Dr perlow advised me that I have a stretched bladder which is resulting in difficulty with urination. He checked my prostate and immediately prescribed flomax as a solution. After reading more about a stretched bladder I see there are many tests doctors will perform to confirm a stretched bladder. I felt as though he wanted me in and out as quickly as possible. When I returned for my follow up appointment ( I had not started the flomax yet) he seemed irritated that I had questions about my particular problem. He spent maybe 3-4 minutes with me after paying a 45 copay. Totally disappointed with my experience

I went to Dr. Perlow for a vasectomy. First, Dr. Perlows office verified my insurance & my out-of-pocket expenses immediately & then contacted me to schedule the appt. They were able to get me in THE NEXT DAY! Dr. Perlow performs the consultation & the vasectomy on the same day, first visit. The whole process is EXTREMELY quick. I was in the clinic for less than an hour TOTAL. Procedure was mostly painless, minus the needle that administers the anesthetic. Some reviewers have mentioned that Dr. Perlow does not wait long enough for the anesthetic to begin working before beginning the procedure. I was upfront with him and told him of these reviews. He assured me that this is nonsense because xylocaine works IMMEDIATELY. He then proved to me that it works immediately. No need to wait at all. The issue, he explained, is that it can be difficult to administer the anesthetic precisely where it needs to go to numb the pain. No different than novocaine at the dentist -- sometimes they have to administer more when the patient feels discomfort. Just dont be shy about any discomfort youre feeling, and Dr. Perlow will administer more medication. My only complaint is that the whole process feels quite rushed and impersonal, but it is nice to be in and out without much drama. I have only experienced mild discomfort since the procedure took place three days ago, and I feel like Im well on my way to a full recovery using only Aleve to address the very minor pain/discomfort.

Not for women. Go elsewhere if youre female, seems to be best oriented towards male anatomy.

This doctor does not care about his patients. His wait time is very long due to overbooking. I have spent more time waiting to see him for a scheduled appointment than I have spent with him in 8 check ups. He is very quick to get me out the door without listening to my problems. I would NOT recommend this doctor.

Dr perlow seems irritated if you have many questions about your problem. If I am paying someone to help me I expect someone to be willing to listen and answer questions . He seemed irritated when I had questions and concerns about what was happening with me.

Vasectomy went fine, but have had a terrible time trying to schedule a follow up. The office is closed with no explanation, nobody picks up the phones and in general it is a confused mess.

Terrible experience for vasectomy. Not enough anesthetic during procedure. Refused to proscribe any pain meds and argued with me and changed their story on how recovery works when I called back 3 days later due to soreness and pain. Staff/Dr. not very acommodating. Would NOT recommend.

i went to Dr. Perlow for a cyst i had, not serious. i filled out the requisite paperwork in the office before the initial consultation. i disclosed that i had hep C. the Dr. examines me and agees it has to come out. a few weeks later i go to pre-op for a blood test. a few days later i arrive at the hospital to get the surgery done. after waiting around for 2 and a half hrs. and getting my iv going the Dr. comes in ready to go. he reads the chart and says something like -- oh you have hepatitis C, i cant do this. i said, its ok im fine. he goes no, i cant do it. im like why? he said he was worried about his and his staff getting a needle stick! i was so pissed. i said why did you let it get this far? he said no one told him. BS! i disclosed it on the very first consult. he obviously never read the chart. do you want a Dr. operating on you that doesnt read your chart?

I went to the ER with blood in my urnine. Was told after CT scan and blood work I have a serious kidney infection. Was given IV antibitoics and sent home w/cipro. Two days later I could no longer urinate. Went back to the ER and a catheder was placed in me and more tests. Come to find out the infection had spread to my bladder as well. Two days later I spike a fever so I go back to the ER still with the catheder and now the infection has spread to my vagina and cervix. The ER took out my IUD did another ct scan and found out I have cysts on my baldder, kidneys and ovaries. They give me more antibiotics and remove my IUD and tell me to make sure I keep my appointment w/Dr. Perlow. I go in there this morning after 8 full days of infections, blood in urnine, pain and 5 days w/a catherder inside. Dr Perlow said I was being melow-dramtic and there was no cause for my pain. He was RUDE, AWFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL and downright mean to me. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR.

I went in for a vasectomy and it was the worst experience. Similar to what has been previously written Dr. Perlow seemed more interested in moving to the next patient than the one he is with. He did not numb the area completely and continued the procedure even though I told him it wasnt numb. Then he proceeded to chastise me when I responded to the pain. Please do yourself a favor and chose another doctor for your procedure.

Dr.Perlow made it very clear he is hateful toward families with children and mainly any denomination other than white. He stated that my four children were insanity and expressed disgust that I was a parent to four children after viewing my chart. Then without a formal intorduction or polite handshake he told my wife to --take a hike-- and get out of the room so he could proceed with the vasectomy. If you enjoy being insulted for no reason and made to feel inferior as though you are a freak show, this is the doctor for you! He is very rude, has racial tolerance issues, is clearly an educated idiot, and despite his medical --talent-- so to speak, he is a hateful person.

I went to him with a kidney stone that was stuck in my ureter and had caused a bad infection. I needed surgery immediately. He gave me a 30-day prescription for Flomax. My primary care doctor made an appointment for me to see a --real-- urologist that day who put me in the hospital where I was in Intensive Care for 7 days. I had surgery the next day after arriving but it took the rest of the time to clear up the infection. Perlow didnt even give me antibiotics. I took him the CT scan from the ER and he didnt even look at it.

My dad came to Dr Perlow to seek treatment due to him having prostrate cancer. 1st impression of Dr Perlow was that he was very impersonal. He doesnt greet his patients, he doesnt speak to them ask them, how they doing. My dad told dr Perlow that he had a catheter that needed to be replace and we thought it might have caused him to have bladder infection. Instead of dr.perlow replacing the catheter and treating my dad with antibiotics he sends my dad home w/o replacing catheter and tells Him to go come bk in 1wk. We return in a week, the dr still didnt want to replace catheter . At that point I told my dad h was not going to see that dr again. In my opinion, dr Perlow is a racist, he doesnt communicate with his patients, all he does is try to get u in his office as much as possible to drain youd insurance . He is an inconsiderate dr and sorry excuse of a human being. Definitely wouldnt recommend him to anyone .

Dr. Perlow diagosed me with a serious condition. He suggested a procedure to be performed without any supporting reasons. i.e. diagnostic testing!! I just dont feel comfortable to have a procedure done without even an ultraound to comfirm. Seek 2nd opinion and totally disagree with Dr. Perlows diagnosis. Glad that did not trust Dr. Perlow otherwise will have an expensive and UNNECCESSARY procedure.

Our experience with Dr Perlow has been a nightmare. He performed a very rough non-scalpel vasectomy on me and the procedure was the most painful experience Ive endured. Apparently, he did not wait for the meds to kick in and he didnt seem to care when I showed major discomfort either. In addition, after 6 months and 3 return visits with this doctor, I am still experiencing enormous pain. He is insensitive to his patients and has prescribed what my new doctor calls dangerous antibiotics that I should have never been on. My hope is before you schedule an appt with Dr. Perlow, you do your research and run across this review. Please re-consider a vasectomy and trust me when I say to choose another physician. I wish I had. In fact, avoid a vasectomy all together. Not worth the risk.

Stole $700 of my money without performing any surgery

Trust me. He did not wait for my husbands meds to kick in before he started vasectomy and my husband almost passed out from pain. He suffered from enormous pain afterward. And, after 2 infections and 3 dr appts, he is still suffering from pain. The doctor just says that this happens to some men? I am telling you this b/c I wish someone had told us. During the procedure, a nurse came in and told Dr. Perlow to hurry up b/c he had other patients waiting? This staff is very insensitive. Re-consider your vasectomy all-together. And definitely reconsider Dr. Perlow. Trust me. I wish we had known.

He was really rude and made jokes about my balls. Seriously.

Had my vasectomy through Dr. Perlow. This was the worst procedure Ive ever had done. Picture have your genitals in a vise grip and you know what I mean. He was extremely cold. Just seemed to want to do the procedure and move on to the next poor guy. Didnt care if I was in pain. Dont get your vasectomy from this guy!!!!
