I can't believe these are legitimate negative reviews because my experience with Dr. Ellington has been nothing short of a caring, informative physician. He spends as much time with you that is needed, makes sure you understand what is going on, gives a lot of reading material to further explain. He provides his personal cell phone number as well as his nurse 's . I would give jim more than a 5 star rating if possible.

Dr. Ellington did surgery on me this week. I loved Dr. Ellington's bedside manner and the way that he took the time to calm all of my fears. He and his staff answered all of my questions in a kind and compassionate way, never rushed me. My surgery was successful! I would recommend Dr. Ellington to anyone, I do not think you will find a better doctor or surgeon.

Caring and compassionate doctor and staff! Mid-60 patient and never been in hospital as a patient. Nothing came as a surprise as the staff and doctor told me everything that was going to happen during surgery and afterward. I am so thankful for Dr. Ellington and his nurse, Wilma.

This is the most caring doctor I have ever visited. He was understanding of the situation and was VERY thorough with his explanation of the cause of my problem and the treatment. I have recommended him to all who have discussed my problems!

Not sure how anyone could give Dr. Ellington less than a 5 star rating. He is knowledgeable, caring, informative and the kind of doctor I wish all the ones I see could be.

This doctor is awesome. Very understanding answers all questions thoroughly. He has recently redone my surgery where another doctor had messed up. I can not express how thankful I am to have found this doctor. I'm finally on the road to recovery after 3rd surgery!!!

Great experience! Dr. Ellington gives personal care, he never rushes you, and he explains everything from start to finish. Follow up after surgery was great, from his talk with my husband to post-op visits. He even calls you himself, rather than having his nurse or PA do it.

This Dr. does not understand, plan, diagnos complex problems. He performed a surgery for an episiotomy revision. I had to find an expert out of state to revise the work he did. UAB’s patient advocacy team did nothing.
