My experience with Dr. Thompson was outstanding. He was concise, patient and explained the process I was about to undergo with a sensitive balance that allowed me to keep perspective and not feel isolated. I did feel like he was a vested partner in determining my condition so that next steps could be discussed. All the right things happened.

After two urologists, the third was a “charm”, Dr Thompson listens, looks you in the eye, explains everything and with an open mind. He figures out what the patient needs while taking into consideration their thoughts and needs. I trust and like him.

My wife and I met with Dr. Thompson to review my need to have my left kidney and a cancerous mass that surround the kidney removed. He went over his method on how he planed to remove the kidney using laparoscopic technique and the incisions he will be making. We left reassured and it was a nice meeting.

Yesterday’s visit with Dr. Thompson was the first time I’ve ever been seen by a urologist. I went to get advice about recurring kidney stones, and also to ask whether I should be concerned about my prostate. The meeting only took ten minutes. Dr. Thompson’s manner was a combination of relaxed, authoritative, and informative. He answered all of my questions clearly and reassuringly. I left feeling relieved and upbeat. Not what I expected at all. The rest of the office staff were friendly and efficient. I highly recommend NW Urology.
