Had a Friday appointment which they changed to a Monday because the Doctor would be in the OR. Perfectly reasonable. On Monday I arrived at 8:45 for a 9AM appointment. A lovely woman in a blue uniform asked me which doctor I was there to see. I told her Dr. Moscowitz. Nothing more was said. I sat in the waiting room for close to an hour. No forms for a new patient were given to me, no other acknowledgment of my presence was made. After an hour of sitting there and watching other patients of the doctor being called, I simoly walked out. Another thing to note. In todays HIPPA climate I could easily overhear who was scheduled for surgery and getting authorizations for Radiology procedures. That should be done away from the open space of the waiting room in a more private setting.
