Dr Friedlander is very busy and does not waste time but still listens to concerns and hears what you tell him. I trust him completely and recommend him highly.

I highly recommend Dr. Friedlander. Doesnt waste any time, quite funny, seemed very competent. Willing to answer questions but just as happy to get on with it since it was a routine procedure.

No nonsense, but unfailingly pleasant, helpful and knowledgable. I certainly have never had the experience some reviewers have apparently had. Maybe they just dont appreciate his sense of humor, but I find it refreshing.

I had kidney cancer in 2010. I wasn’t aware of it. He was able to remove my kidney with only a few incisions. No treatments thereafter. I see him annually now. He recently discovered another mass in another area from my CT scan so he really looks out for his patient. Great bedside manner too.

I am totally satisfied by the care given to me and medical judgments exercised by Dr. Friedlander who also performed a TURP procedure. His office staff and the professional nursing were also AWESOME! Thank you!

I am very surprised at the folks complaining about a bad cystoscopy. Dr. White in this same practice did a cystoscopy and it was very painful..Dr. Friedlander did the same procedure a year later and I felt nothing. He said, --If I hurt you , you can hurt me.-- I was incredibly nervous, but he did a great job. No pain at all. If these folks thinks Dr. Friedlander has bad bed side matter and is a jerk, they should visit Dr. JonathanWhite.

I spent 10 years in the medical field earlier in my career, including 5 years in surgical practice. Dr. Friedlander knows what hes doing, has an excellent support staff from the front desk, to the lab, and the ultrasound technician.

My wife was pleased with this doctor, and referred me to him when I had a recurring urological problem that other doctors really couldnt address. Friedlander immediately suspected the cause and performed a simple diagnostic procedure to confirm. I have stuck with him through the years, however, because of his charming personality and sense of humor. He always puts me at ease.

I have major kidney stone problems and I find that he is extremely patient and knowlegeable. Never has a bad day and ALWAYS makes me feel important!!!!!

Ive been with Dr. Friedlander for years now. Hes an excellent urologist who has steered me through prostate cancer and other wonders of advancing years. I disagree strongly with those who saw him as uncaring. He has always demonstrated concern and answered any questions I had fully. He like his --earthy-- sense of humor which is probably a great asset for urologists.

Dr. Friedlander is a highly intelligent and competent doctor. Hes very friendly and willing to answer questions. He does tend to get a little overbooked though. If possible, try to get a morning appointment.

Dr. Friedlander appeared knowledgeable in his field but I had an issue with what I guess would be categorized as his bed side-- manner. He performed a rather delicate examination very quickly which caused what I thought was unnecessary pain. As I was recovering immediately after the exam and noted the pain he dismissively said ?You?re alright?. Additionally he hastening me to the door while debriefing me on my specific condition which could be overheard by other patients and staff. I thought this violated my privacy.

The Physician prescribed an expensive experimental drug that worsened the problem instead of the generic drug, which actually worked, that I had asked for months earlier. Over the course of several years, the physician made me endure several unnecessary appointments and procedures when the actual problem was fairly simple and could have been solved with the prescription of the generic drug. I complained to the Maryland Board of Physicians and they issued him an advisory letter.

I wouldnt recommend Dr. Friedlander to anyone due to his lack of compassion, concern, & unprofessionalism. I dont believe he used local anesthetic before performing my cystoscopy. He took personal offense when asked about the risk of UTI, a known potential risk. --My operating room is sterile, theres no chance of infection,-- he said dismissively. I only received pyridium to ease the fully-expected burning sensation bc I asked for it. I can only conclude that the standard operating procedure is to send poor unwitting patients home with no relief. Dr. Friedlander was visibly annoyed by questions before & after the procedure. No cause for the hematuria was shown so I asked him what possible causes could there be that wouldnt shown through these methods. --If the CT IVP & cystoscopy dont show anything, I dont care.-- I dont think theres anything more unprofessional that a physician can say than to flatly tell a patient they dont care what the cause of their medical condition is.

I would not recommend Dr. Friedlander to anyone, but particularly to women. He is uncaring and unpleasant. I found it difficult to ask questions, and when I did, he was rude, sarcastic and unhelpful. Worst of all was his failure to diagnose me correctly, even after subjecting me to numerous unnecessary tests. He didnt seem to care at all. Do not go to this doctor.

Worst Dr. I have ever seen. Dont waste your time. He is so rude and condescending besides refused to answer my questions.

Dr. Gary Friedlander identified a problem with my prostate. But he did not want to perform the necessary surgery but told me to undergo several additional tests not related to my prostate. When I explained to him that these difficult tests would make my situation worse, he ignored me and told me to make a general appointment in six months.
