Ive been a patient of Dr. Ledgerwood for 3 years. Hes straightforward, extremely knowledgeable, honest and sincere. I recently underwent prostate reduction surgery performed by Dr. Ledgerwood. His preparation of me for the impacts, recovery and benefits of the procedure were 100% spot on. His assistant Nancy was also a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Dr. Ledgerwood and his team for urological issues.

Very impressed with every step of my pre and post surgery experience with Dr. Ledgerwood. I find it difficult to give out a perfect survey but this truly came with no hesitation especially after finding out I had stage III kidney cancer and how well I was taken care of. I appreciate everything that Dr. Ledgerwood has done for me and would certainly recommend everyone to him.

I appreciated Dr. Ledgerwood`s honesty. He told me that ureteral stents would suck... way more than kidney stones. He was right. I knew what to expect. I got some pain meds to manage the discomfort. He did my laser surgery... no complications. He is bright and knows what he is doing. Stent removed after two weeks, in office. No issues at all. I would recommend him. the receptionist out front, hassistant/RN/whatever she is handled

I recently ended up in the Medical Center of Aurora with a large kidney stone that needed surgical intervention & stent placement. Dr. Ledgerwood was oncall and arrived to do my intervention; I am so thankful I was partnered with him. Before I go any further let me be upfront regarding the fact that I have been a Registered Nurse for 26+ years, hold numerous Board Certifications in Wound Care, Ostomy Care and Hyperbaric Nursing, and am nearly finished in my FNP program, so to impress me......well it takes quite a bit. Dr. Ledgerwood is kind, friendly, highly educated, and to the point. He doesnt beat around the bush in terms of the severity of ones issues and what it takes to get on the right path. I appreciate that. Additionally I have had great experiences with both John (his scheduler) & Nancy (his MA) as they have been extremely helpful through my health care appointments & needs. I would highly recommend Dr. Ledgerwood and his team for your Urology needs--you will not be disappointed and you will be in excellent hands!!!!

I have no idea what was wrong with the person who gave him a bad review. I found him to be a nice man and he took care of my stone with great skill. I recommended him to a client of mine and she was pleased as well. His office staff was great and got me in and out quickly each time.

If every doctor was like Dr. Ledgerwood, I would not fear going to the doctor. He was the best, most easy going doctor I have ever been to.

It is a rare doctor today who not only takes the time to understand his patient, but knows how to deliver difficult messages with compassion, empathy and concern for the patients understanding and emotional reaction to that message. He is the best I have ever encountered. I am a prostate cancer survivor, and I have dealt with a wide range of specialists, none of which come close to Dr, Ledgerwood. I also greatly appreciate his honesty and candor. He can be the velvet hammer when necessary.

Dr Ledgerwood immediately set our mind at ease in regard to Johns medical condition. Very thorough in his examination, and follow up care. Would definitely recommend him as a top caregiver in his profession.We are very thankful that we were able to get Dr Ledgerwood as our medical provider !

I had a similar experience to Don T, above. Ledgerwood has a habit of not responding to phone calls and the communication with his staff is abhorrent. I can understand that many doctors are overloaded with patients, but this practice is especially overloaded -- and quite frankly arrogant and rude to patients. I wouldnt even think of going to this practice for surgery *shudders*.

Extremely disappointed with my experience with Dr. Ledgerwood. After waiting 55 minutes to be seen, he spent 10 minutes with me without any type of physical examination. He was degrading and arrogant. I had seen a colleague of his years ago and found out she had left the practice so I was scheduled with Dr. Ledgerwood. Worst ten minutes and a complete waste of time. He gives doctors a bad name.

Dr. Ledgerwood is a bright young doctor. However, neither he or his staff (nurse and secretary) return calls. On two separate occasions I attempted to contact the doctor. !...Prior to my kidney stone removal surgery I began to eliminate blood in my urine along with some serious abdominal pain. I called the office in the morning and explained details of my concern to the secretarys answering machine. Response was never made. I endured the pain and anxiety of my condition without any --professional-- help from Ledgerwood or his secretary. The following morning I went to the hospital for the surgery. Ledgerwood asked if I had experienced any pain or other conditions. I responded that if he had answered his calls he would have known that I had. He told me that he thought the answering service was having problems (that day). 2....More than a week after my second surgery and the removal of the inter uterine stent, I again had severe pan and bleeding. I again called the office and was greeted with the same secretary message. Suspecting that my concerns would again be ignored, I placed another call to Ledgerwoods nurse. Her message was that she was in clinc and that she would return the call prior to the end of the day (4:00). No call came. The next morning the pain and bleeding subsided. About 10:30 the secretary called and asked what I wanted. I told her that the method of dealing with patients in Ledgerwoods office was substandard and that I was very close to going to the emergency room for medical help. She told me that the doctor and nurse were in clinic and therefore did not respond. The nurse called about 4:00 that afternoon. Like the secretary, she asked me what I wanted. I gave her the same explanation I had given the secretary. I also explained that I would not have any more dealings with this office due to their indifference to patient concern. Either the secretary or the nurse neglected their duty to return my calls, and/or refer the calls to the doctor, or the doctor ignored his responsibility to return my calls.
