Dr. Emery saved my hubbys life. A mass was found in his lower pelvis. After many doc. visits, they concluded this needed to be taken care of by an Urologist, some M.D recommended a biopsy first but stressed if cancerous it could spread. Others said it would be a radical surgery to remove this that it should be biopsied & monitored. Another concern was blood vessels connected to the mass. With great uncertainty. We went to doc. Emmery In no time he decided it needed to come out regardless! a biopsy was too risky & very little helpful it would only put us back in case this was a cancer. He was determined, and gave us confidence. In no time he was in surgery Dr. Emery took the mass without interruption of organs. The surgery was a success & a blessing to us. We later learned it was cancerous. Dr. Emery performed a lifesaving surgery. My hubby received “preventative” chemo, has been cancer free. Thank you Dr. Emery from the bottom of our hearts! You trully are the best.

Dr. Emery, his wife and other nurses and staff are all the very best! Dr. Emery is brilliant, knows his field thoroughly, and remains on the cutting edge of new developments in Urology. He is wonderfully kind and sensitive, and spends time listening to his patients; he reminds me of the best of the doctors who I remember as a child in the 1960s, who were concerned and caring, and who loved their profession for its time-honored and noble service to humanity. Simply put, Dr. Emery exemplifies the very best qualities of Medicine. In my case his persistence in tracking down what was originally a stubborn infection led to the discovery of a fairly early-state prostate cancer, a successful prostatectomy, and what will be a full and cancer-free recovery with none of the side-effects feared my all men. It’s no exaggeration to say that Dr. Emery saved my life. Im sorry that this most-trusted and good doctor is retiring from full practice, but certainly he deserves the relaxation of retirement. Dr. Emery is a good, soulful, and very caring man. He really is the very best!

Dr Emory is a highly competent and professional urologist. Beyond that, he is a kind and considerate man. I cannot give him any higher recommendation. Ventura County is lucky to have such a fine surgeon.

After I had 3 TURP SURGERIES in 9 years by two different doctors; Dr. Emery introduced me to LASER SURGERY OF PROSTAT. I noticed by looking at the monitor very much from the side I was able to watch the proceedure and was very much impressed. The surgery and recovering period were much better than I expected. I was at ease with the doctor and staff through out.

Dr. Emery is very compassionate and gentle during procedures. He answers questions and utilizes his staff to care for us during the preop period and aftercare. His bedside manner is excellent and caring. He also has a great sense of humor!

He helped diagnose my prostate cancer. From what I can tell...he did things correctly.

He is easily angered by unknown issues and then refuses to discuss the symptoms and treatments any further. Without any discussion he asked his Nurse/Practicioner to schedule a TURP for me which may mean loss of sexual function and require a general anesthetic. I have scheduled another appointment with him before I will schedule a TURP.

Dr Emery did a good job of walking me through the whole diagnosis process of prostate cancer. He is very proactive...and ordered lots of appropriate tests. He is getting up there in age...but he treated me right. No complaints.

My husband was in extreme pain after a vasectomy done by this doctor. He went back for help and the doctor was dismissive, unkind, and rude. On his files the doctor wrote that my husband was experiencing --mild discomfort.-- Nine months and a reversal later my husband still wakes up in the night in pain and can barely get through a day. He cannot exercise, ride his motorcycle, or do anything he used to love to do. When my husband told the doctor that I cried about this problem, the doctor said I need to seek psychiatric help. Before getting a vasectomy research Post Vasectomy Pain Syndrome. It is very real. If if Dr. Emery would prefer to deny it.

Very rude and arrogant . Dr . Edison was not gentle with the procedure and had great discomfort afterwards. Ready to perform surgery and little info given to me regarding the surgery or other alternatives. I would not recommend his services.

Didnt catch my Dads Prostate Cancer on time. He died from Aplastic Anemia caused by too much radiation that he had been given for his Prostate Cancer. No idea if that was protocol at the time... Only that the level of radiation given was beyond normal for such trearments by todays standard. My thoughts... Every doctor makes mistakes so this doesnt mean he is a horrible doctor but to be safe make sure you have a second opinion. I really, really miss my Dad.

Our son was misdiagnosed by Dr. Emery, and performed a surgery on our son he did not need. Afterwards, his health rapidly declined. We then went to UCLA where our son was correctly diagnosed and received the proper care and treatment he needed. If anyone ever has anything serious, please do your research and go to UCLA where they have the best medical doctors and surgeons in the country.
