I love this office. Yes you have a bit of a wait, but once your in with the doctor you have all his attention. He has sent an hour with me just to make sure I understand. The staff is simply lovely and very accommodating.

I was absolutely scared to death to have ANYONE do any work in THAT area, but was in so much pain I had no choice but to see a Doctor. I have the worst insurance possible and expected to be treated as such, but Dr.Abreu and his staff made me as comfortable with my situation as I could be, all were very friendly, making it easy for me to discuss my problem. This was a nortoriously painful procedure, but my surgery went as smooth as anyone could hope for, my recovery went exactly as the Dr.Abreu said it would, and all with minimal pain. Urology issues are painful/embarassing and were screwing up every area of my life, I could not have found a better bunch of folks than Dr.Abreu and his staff at Bayside Urology to help me through this problem. Thank you so much Dr.Abreu! And Josh!

you might have to wait a a little for Dr. Abreu, but when he is in the room with you, he is totally dedicated to hazel ping the patient.he is a great doctor with excellent credentials.

This doctor is the best Ive been to. His staff is tops in my book. They are very professional and nice. They answered all my questions and treated me like one of their own. I would recommend this office to everyone that needs a urologist.

The office staff is absolutely horrible. His wife is unprofessional and rude (she runs the office) the doctor is a wonderful doctor but his crazy wife and staff (more family) make it not worth it. find another doctor!!!!!

He had me take about every test imaginable to diagnose my problem - nothing; finally I requested a culture be done - soon thereafter, he went out of town for vacation and I finally called the office for the test result. One of the nurses told me that the results were negative. I requested that the results be faxed to me, and saw that she had lied. I found another doctor immediately

I was getting my Viagra at no cost through Phizer until Dr. Abreu stopped it claiming that I was receiving too many. I was only getting 10 per month. Over the next year and a quarter I made over 40 calls to his office to try to remedy the situation. I even reapplied through his office and he stopped it again. If I was receiving too many, he could have changed it. 10 was not too many, anyway. I had to eventually mail in the bottle to prove that I wasnt lying. Then, he promptly dropped me as a patient. This was very unfair. I have no respect for the man for the way this was handled. Also, now I am way behind on my prostate exam because I got out of the habit of seeing him. Thats my fault, I know, but I still feel very angry and he wouldnt respond to my letters.

Dr. Abreu is an excellent doctor but his staff and his wife, who runs the ofice are the most unprofessional I have ever dealt with. While being treated for prostate cancer, his attention to detail was perfect, but if you go to see him, be prepared to pay all costs up front as his wife, the ofice manager is totally unwilling to work with you about finances. Even during a tretament as costly as prostate cancer treatments, she demanded all monies up front to continue tretament. It is really to bad as the doctor is excellent, but his staffs priority is money and not the wellbeing of the patient in any way, shape or matter.Also the office is so overbooked that you should be prepared to wait at least one hour past your scheduled time at each visit. I would not recommend Bayside Urology to anyone that does not have a pocket full of cash to pay for all treatments regardless of the illness you are facing.

I had a cystocela repair done. The staff is the WORST & most unprofessional staff ever. His wife forgets to schedule appointments. The doctor is polite and soft spoken but his staff makes it impossible to get proper after care. Im not happy with the surgery or the after care. I wish I could have gone somewhere else for the surgery.

Staff is RUDE. Doctor ordered many test. The staff is all about money. I was over charged for my co pay on my very first visit. Tried to have the overcharged applied to my second visit, they would not do it. I had a copy of the claim from BCBS and that was not enough for them. Lady in the office said they did not recieve payment on that and could not apply it to this visit. I WALK OUT. Looking for another doctor.

Hands down the most rude group of health care professionals I have evr met. When I made the appointment I told them I needed to be taken as close to my appointment time as possible because I was undergoing radiation treatments at that time. I was assured that that was no problem.

Very disappointed with the time it took to be seen,over 1 hour and 30 minutes. And the staff, beg inning with receptionist. Shawn Tae to the MA Tina, in 23 years in the medical field I have N EVER been treated so rude and careless. The entire staff needs a class refresher Patient Care 101 !!! I was so upset and felt so violated, I will N EVER recommend this Dr. Even now a5 new Urologists, finding out news I was not told by dr. Abreu. Just devastated....

THE STAFF AT THIS FACILITY SHOULD TREAT PATIENTS THE WAY THEY WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED IF THEY WERE IN PAIN, IN NEED OF MEDICARE CARE AND SURGERY.WE WERENT EXPECTING FREE CARE. BUT WE WERE HOPING THE FACILITY OFFERED OTHER OPTIONS.SHAME ON YOU DR. ABREU FOR TELLING US TO COME IN TO SEE YOU FOR A FOLLOWUP, ONLY TO HAVE YOUR RUDE STAFF TURN US AWAY BECAUSE WE COULDNT PAY THE $255 OFFICE VISIT UP FRONT. IT MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA TO INFORM THE PATIENTS YOU SEE IN ER THAT YOU WILL NOT SEE THEM UNLESS THEY HAVE $255 FOR YOUR OFFICE VISIT.THE FRONT DESK ATTENDANT WAS ALREADY IN A BAD MOOD WHEN WE WALKED IN AND THE FACT THAT WE WERE NOT IN THE SYSTEM AND DID NOT HAVE $255 RIGHT THEN AND THERE DID NOT GIVE HER THE RIGHT TO TREAT US POORLY AND DISMISS US.

BEWARE!!! Dr Abreu is a very capable doctor but beware of the office people which do not inform you the correct prices on services rendered at the clinic. I went there for a biopsy ( I have cancer) and told them I did not have insurance (so I have a fixed budget) was told that the total cost would $1,200 but they --forgot-- to tell me that there would another bill for $1,800 from the lab. Im not questioning what the doctor charges for his work but as patient I feel they should have the decency to alert us that the lab bill is not included so we can make a decision before the procedure is done. Their reply to my questions was basically that it was my problem and they really dont care about the lab bill because they already got their money. Since there is no way for me to return the procedure, Ill have to go into debt to pay for the lab work. This type of customer service is unacceptable especially when dealing with human life.

I dont want to go into many details for the fear of him knowing who posted this be ause i have another appointment, but i can say he is truly the worst doctor i have ever been to BY FAR...

At 9:40am I was called to the front desk to fill out paperwork. At that time I informed the front desk person and the office manager that I had to leave at 10:10am to be on time for a 10:30am meeting. I was met with attitude by the office manager who told me Dr Aubreu was in the back and no patients were back there so I would be the second patient to be called. So if no patients were being seen, and 3 of us were booked for a 9am, why hadn’t anyone been taken yet? After I completed paperwork, I was told I would be required to make my copayment - it was 9:45am by this time and still no patient had been taken. I expressed that I would prefer to make my payment once I was called reminding them I needed to leave by 10:10am. I was told by the office manager, again with a hostile attitude, that if I didn’t make my copayment I would not be called... the first patient was called at 9:53am. I was called at 10:03am. I informed the person who took my blood pressure that I needed to leave in 7 minutes and asked if it was even worth waiting. She went to ask the office manager who said yes I should wait and that I would be seen first, I was then put in a room. At 10:10am the doctor had still not come in so I went back to the front desk and had to get a refund of my copayment. I asked for paperwork to confirm my appointment was cancelled, but was told there was nothing they could give me since I was the one canceling. In the process of my waiting for an hour and fifteen minutes, I spoke with three other patients all of which indicated that this was par for the course, and the typical wait time to be seen was an hour and a half after your appointment time... as someone who has worked in healthcare for 17 years, I am fully aware of the stresses and burdens of trying to keep things flowing in a timely basis, and obviously emergencies do happen. However considering they had already canceled/rescheduled my appointment twice, other patients saying this is always how it goes, and to boot a rude office manager with a piss-poor attitude (pun intended) I can tell you unequivocally that this is UNACCEPTABLE. Dr Abreu obviously thinks his time is much more important than yours so unless you agree with him, find yourself a more professional doctor & office.

I have never known of a doctor who does not conduct examinations yet wants you to make more appointments. You wait an hour, then get 5 minutes of his time, no exam or treatment. They submit a lot of insurance invoices.

I would like to say I didnt get to actually meet the doctor because the office staff was so rude. I tried to make an appointment, followed what the first girl told me to do which was to have my family doctor send a referral and have my gyno send over all my medical history. When I called back a week later to make sure they had everything, I was told they had no idea of who I was. The office girl was very rude and not helpful at all, So I called my other two doctors and both of which told me they sent what was ask. So I called the office back and told the office girl that my medical records had been sent the day prior. She told me she didnt know what I was talking about, I ask her where were my medical records then, and she then put me on on hold, then another girl picked up the phone and told me they had no idea of who I was and I needed to find a different doctor and hung up on Well needless to say, this is not an office staff that I would ever want to give my business to, and I hope someone lets the doctor know that his office staff is rude..
