Great doctor couldnt ask for any better.

Have seen Dr Ray at least three or four times. Started with surgery for a 10mm kidney stone. Ultrasound after surgery showed renal cysts on both kidneys. Thank God they are benign. Was worried because I had breast cancer and a double mastectomy in 2012. Dr. Ray was patient and kind while listening to my list of questions. He took as long as I needed, explained things to me that I didnt even know to ask and was very understanding. Pleased with all my visits. He will for sure be my urologist from now on. Staff were wonderful. Grateful for my news and my doctor.

Dr Ray always takes time to make sure that my questions are answered. He cares and it shows in his manner and his time. I highly recommend him.

Been to the doctor Ray family for 44 yrs. I started with the senior Dr. Ray, on to Dr. Ray Jr. and worked my way to his son, Dr. Charles Ray.They have been very good to me and my family.I wouldnt consider going anywhere else. I give the doctor, nurses and staff a top rating.

The 2nd time he called me for a follow up visit, to my surprise, he had no idea of my case. He didnt even refer to his own doctors notes before examining me. I had to explain him everything from the beginning. He kept on asking to get the same tests done again and again and asking me for more follow up visits. He just spent few minutes on each visit and charged extremely high rates for each visit. Finally he referred me to another doctor.

Not good with females. Didnt consider all my symptoms as a whole thus wasnt able to diagnose my condition. Had he not interrupted me by asking --whats the worst symptom you have-- he could have realized my symptoms were confusing bc intertistial cystitis makes you feel like you have to urinate when your bladder is empty. Because Im not a doctor I didnt know what was wrong with me and I thought I was just having problems emptying my bladder. He considered that one symptom ONLY and proceeded to do urethral dilation every week. That procedure is painful and traumatizing for a person with IC. Because IC has flare ups and is irritated easily by your diet sometimes I felt like the dilation was helping. It wasnt. It was my water intake and certain foods i ate that would make me feel like there was relief. I feel like he didnt believe me at all and he didnt listen or care. He never even did an ultrasound to see if I was able to empty my bladder or if there just wasmt anything in there

Saw him with a UTI and 5mm kidney stone. Instead of taking it out, he wanted me to pass it. After 4 days of complete misery, I called to ask about taking it out. He informed me that he still wanted me to pass it. Another day of misery and I went to the Er. My stone was now 7 mm with a UTI. Dr Ray still wouldn’t agree to take it out, insisting that I pass the stone. The Er doctor had to transfer me to another hospital and urologist who did stone extension the next day. My stone was 7 mm and embedded into the tube. It would never have passed. Not only did he insist on me suffering for days, my kidney functioning was all messed up by the time the stone came out.

Came in for pain and he sent me to get a CT scan. Came back to his office the same day for results. I was told I had a FEW kidney stones. I asked for something to help with the pain and was told he didnt feel like he would be treating anything. A week later I was in even more pain and called in to see if he could do anything and I was told to go to the ER. Went to the ER had blood in urine and pain. Was told I had a really bad UTI (Dr. Ray never told me or gave me antibiotics for it) and I had the kidney stones. Needless to say after 4 hours in his office a week ago, a few hours in the hospital a couple of days ago, money for his X-ray and CT scan along with office and hospital charges, I am out a LOT of money and still in terrible pain. Waste of time and money.

Spends very less time. Does not refer to the previous case notes. During my 2nd visit he had no idea why i was there. Finally referred me to a different doctor on the 3rd visit. Overcharges everytime.

Not good with females. Didnt consider all my symptoms as a whole, thus wasnt able to diagnose my condition. Had he not interrupted me by asking --whats the worst symptom you have-- he could have realized my symptoms were confusing and somewhat contradictory, bc intertistial cystitis makes you feel like you have to urinate when your bladder is empty. Because Im not a doctor I didnt know what was wrong with me and I thought I was just having bladder spasms and problems emptying my bladder. He considered that one symptom ONLY and proceeded to do urethral dilation every week. That procedure is painful and traumatizing for a person with IC. The procedure is inserting metal rods into your urethra to stretch it open. It is as painful as it sounds and even worse for someone with IC.. Because IC has flare ups and is irritated easily by your diet sometimes I felt like the dilation was helping. It wasnt. It was my water intake and diet that would make me feel like there was relief. I feel like he didnt believe me at all and he didnt listen or care. He never even did an ultrasound to see if I was able to empty my bladder or if there just wasnt anything in there to begin with. This condition has destroyed my quality of life to the point where I cry daily. I can never sleep. It keeps me from being able to fall asleep. At my worst I get up to urinate at least 20 times BEFORE I can fall asleep. Theres only a dribble every time bc my bladder makes me think its full when it isnt . Ive had to learn how to fall asleep with the feeling that I have to pee. It took me years to go to a different urologist bc of Dr Ray traumatizing me with useless and extremely painful procedures, and making me feel like a liar or like Im crazy. I finally have a diagnosis that validates everything i TRIED to tell him, which he didnt listen. He simply just didnt care enough to try to help me. He was cold, uninterested, incompassionate, and put me through unnecessary pain. My new female doctor was able to diagnose me in ONE VISIT bc she listens and did an ultrasound. I hope Dr Ray reads this and changes the way he treats females. Im not the only female this dissatisfied. He is awful and has ruined my faith in male doctors. If youre a female do not go to him.

If you are a female with kidney stones.... be looking for a new urologist fast! I do not recommend him for women that have kidney stone issues- my experience was not good!
