Dr. Key made me feel very comfortable and reassured. Straight to the point! Not that I want to have that experience again, but if I do, I would definitely want Dr. Key performing the surgery. Well done! Thank you!

Dr Key is great - he listens, he's very direct and understandable with his information and answers to questions, as are his nurse practitioners. When it's time for an appointment, the office staff has always been right on-time, and very efficient in the check-out and next-appointment-setting process. However, when a prescription needs to be refilled, it's nearly impossible to get the practice's attention. Numerous attempts by the pharmacy, my message through MyChart (or whatever it's called nowadays), and my voicemail requests have seemingly been ignored. I finally had to sit on the phone for 10 minutes and go through a number of menu-options and two humans to get the request through...again. This has happened two or three times, so it can't be blamed on "transitioning to a new 'blah blah' system". Unfortunately, I go to many specialty doctors. DPN is the worst for this type patient after-service care.

"Dr. Key is patient oriented, takes time to explain, answer questions, is thorough and has a good “bed-side manner” His nurses are equally professional. There seems to be a high demand for Urologist therefore you may have to wait, but Dr. Key gave me all the time I needed. He called me personally to discuss my biopsy results and options. Won’t go to any other Urologist."

Not sure how good he is. After a long wait in the treatment room he did not apologize for the delay. When I joked about it he proceeded to lecture me. Maybe he was having a bad day. He uses numbers to determine each test.

Paid 4 office consultation. Waited alone in exam room 4 over an hour while listening 2 staff gossip and joke. Notified staff I was leaving and would like refund. Both doctor and staff appologized and attempted 2 get me 2 stay. When it became aparent I was not going 2 give them my business, dr abruptly turned his back on me and walked away. Asked the receptionist for reciept showing my account had been re-imbursed. --No-- she answered, --I deleted the transaction. so you dont need a reciept.-- Having dealt with medical billing in the past, I was hardly reassured. Again requested documentation 2 contest charges should they appear. She continued 2 argue 4 another 10-15 minutes until the office manager shoved a letter at me, asked if it was good enough, and walked away. A business can profess their integrity all day long. But when such a minor issue is handled so poorly and rudely, the truth is revealed. glad I discovered this b4 there was a serious issue with the medical procedure!

I was referred to Dr. Key to follow up with after being in the hospital due to kidney stones blocking the kidney causing me to become septic. This was in December. I went to the office for follow up. I sat in the lobby for an hour before being called back to see the doctor. I saw a pa named Heather first. She tried telling me there were no stones seen on my xray. I knew there was a stone because they refused to do anything with the stone until all the infection was gone. A couple minutes later Dr. Key came in. Gave me yet more antibiotics, said he wants to go through the ureter to blast the stone, but cant get any operating room time until after new years. I kept calling and calling after the new years, and kept being told a message was sent to heather, a message was sent to the scheduler, they will call they will call. They didnt. In the mean time I ran out of a couple prescriptions they gave me so my partner went to the office to get more samples. While there she demanded to talk to the scheduler and magically she got a date for the procedure. I also got cdiff from so many antibiotics, and it took several calls and messages to get an order for a test to verify I had it. More medicine prescribed... Finally February 4th,Dr Key did my procedure. Breaking the stone up,put another stint in. He may be a good dr but I only saw him a few minutes before the procedure, and a few minutes after. Gave me yet more antibiotics! While trying to get dressed I kept telling the nurse I was peeing but had no control. I am continent normally. I kept telling them this many messages, and finally i was told to come in. The reason I wasnt continent was because the stint wasnt placed right so the ureter was wide open. Dr Key shoved it back up to where it was supposed to be,took a pee sample thru straight cath, told I would be notified if i needed a different antibiotic, and to come back the following week to have Dr. Key remove the stint. Then the next day walmart tells me I have 2 prescriptions ready-2 different antibiotics! I call the office, more messages sent to who?? Nobody ever called me back to explain which one I was supposed to be on. So I took the ones I hadnt been on the past few months-just a guess. Then I got two calls to verify my appointment for the following week so my partner called to verify and was told 945. We showed up at 940,and the receptionist said my appointment wasnt til 1045!! So we waited...Then when we get back into the room,it is a doctor I have never met, couldnt tell me which antibiotic I should be taking, but pulled the stint out. The lady at the check out said I could sit down and she would check me out. I said no,not waiting and will NEVER be back. Dr. Key may be an good doctor but the whole office staff is ridiculous!! NO COMMUNICATION!! Patients be ware!!! The only good thing was the technician that assisted us...
