Dr. Anderson is very competent, accessible, and compassionate. He has a great staff as well. Everyone made me feel at ease, from the ladies behind the desk to the nurses. I will definitely recommend him to family and friends within a 200 mi radius of Taos and Santa Fe.

His office got me in quickly when other offices wouldnt. Hes got a dry, efficient, but not unfriendly personality. Overall, I was pleased with both the doctor and his office. I would recommend him.

He treated me for interstitial cystitis......he was the first urologist or Dr that understood what this condition is and how to treat it, that I have ever met.

Dr Anderson treated me with respect and answered all my questions without feeling rushed. He and especially his assistant Lita, were excellent & II never felt uncomfortable. I gave both of them nothing but trust and was not let down. I highly recommend this urologist!

I went to Dr. Anderson with the same complaint he must see 100 times a day! Benign prostatic hypertrophy. I was giving him the same ol story he hears every day. Once he whipped out his little pocket ultrasound unit, and saw how MUCH residual urine I was walking around with, he suddenly wasnt bored anymore! I was carrying around 20oz...much more, I wouldve left the office with a catheter! So he did an unscheduled cystoscopy on me that afternoon. Three weeks later, I was in surgery, getting a photovaporization of the prostate (PVP). A month later, I can pee like I was 19 again! His complication rate for this procedure is less than 1%...it doesnt GET any better than that. While his bedside manner is initially a bit dry (heh...), he actually really cares about his patients, and goes out of his way to answer all your questions. So if youre a middle aged or older guy, and youve been dinking around with medication, and youre still having a hard time with it....get er DONE! You will be glad you did, and youre NOT going to find anyone better, so just DO it, before you wind up in the ER one night because you can no longer pee at ALL...I was heading in that direction.

i had him do the mesh operation after my last child and it wasnt that sucessful. overall i would give him about a 4 out of 10 and i would not recommend him. when i told him i didnt think the operation worked , he got defensive. I did not go back to him again.

Getting an appt was almost impossible. Ended up in ER. Had quite a bit of pain after the procedure but he literally did not believe me. Basically blew me off. Getting a referral to another one. Cant recommend him to anyone.

I went to see Dr. Anderson because I had cloudy urine with leukocytes but no bacterial infection. He performed a surgical cystoscopy and cauterized a section of my bladder. The surgery itself was fraught with problems. After the procedure I wanted to see him but he --couldnt see me-- for 13 weeks. During that time I continued to have cloudy urine with some pain. When I finally saw him he told me I had a bacterial infection. I REPEAT I DID NOT HAVE ONE WHEN I HAD THE PROCEDURE. The infection is Klebsiella, which is a very dangerous infection. Im surprised I wasnt sicker during that 13 weeks. The only way I know its Klebsiella is that I asked for the results of the culture to be sent to my PCP. The probable cause of the infection is insufficiently cleaned instruments. Dr. Anderson prescribed Levaquin which is also an extremely dangerous antibiotic and in the literature it says --it may be responsible for 30,000 deaths.-- My PCP prescribed a sulfa-based antibiotic that I have done well with in the past. I hope the infection has not become so virulent that the sulfa-based antibiotic will be unable to work. Dr. Anderson acts like a really nice guy, but I think hes a really bad doctor.
